A plaque entitled "Boston Molasses Flood", reads:
On January 15, 1919, a molasses tank at 529 Commercial Street exploded under pressure, killing 21 people.
A 40-foot wave of molasses buckled the elevated railroad tracks, crushed buildings and inundated the neighborhood.
Structural defects in the tank combined with unseasonably warm temperatures contributed to the disaster.
For more information, see Boston Molasses Disaster
Did you have pancakes with molasses fpr breakfast?

....also like hot tea in the winter - don't want that sweet either, but do like it citrus'y. I think you'd also like Constant Comment. It's very orange'y. I prefer coffee to tea, but a cup of hot tea is nice on a cold winters' afternoon.
Okay, now I need to get busy. Weekend company arriving tomorrow night.
To: JustAmy
BTW, Amy, those snowflakes were created with some photoshop brushes that I downloaded from the internet. I have not done much with brushes, but this was fun.
TTYL. Need to get some pre-company "stuff" done around here.
To: jaycee
Thanks, Jaycee.
Has your snow melted? We've had snow on the ground for weeks maybe longer and every once in a while another inch or two falls to freshen everything up.
And you wake up in the morning to find angels in the snow.

Good, I’m glad that I don’t still have the problem that I had a few weeks back. I had the BASE HREF wrong but everything looked okay on my computer. However, when I used my sister-in-law’s computer to access the page, none of the pictures were visible. I thought I had that corrected so am glad to hear that the JPEG is visible.

Drowning in molasses has got to be a bad way to go.

Ewww ... no .... that does not sound like the way I would choose to go.
The Boston Molasses Flood was interesting reading. I had never heard of it so I did a little research after you mentioned it.
Thanks for enlightening us.

Oh, boy! Snow Day! Beautiful snowflakes, Ms Bear, and how perfect is Thoreau's poem ~ each snowflake stars indeed!
I read your later comment about using PhotoShop brushes to create the snowflakes, and while most plug-ins that work in PhotoShop also work in PhotoImpactPro, alas! "brushes", as such, do not. I installed PhotoShop Elements about a year ago, so that I could take advantage of some of the things compatible with PS, that won't work in PI, but outside of playing with different brushes and a few edges I don't have in PI, I'm still not as comfortable as with PI. (Can't teach an old dog new tricks maybe. *Sigh*)
Anyway, you made a very lovely opening graphic out of nothing but snowflakes and text .... and that POEM! KUDOS! :)
To: yorkie
Did someone say 'spa'?
We are ready!!
Your puppy graphic is so cute!! Thanks for sharing her.
Have a beautiful Thursday.

Another foggy day here.
School buses cancelled again. Marissa misunderstood yesterday .... when buses are cancelled, only come to school if your parents feel it is safe to drive.
Classes started at nine but we will try to get Marissa there by 10:30. It will be another day of low attendance. Lots of bus riders in our little community.

Thank you, ma'am. :-)
You know, I've done so little with brushes, except to use the standard ones to color in a background or erase something, but the pattern brushes are fun to play with. I'd say they are more like "stamps", though, than they are brushes. Anyway, that graphic was sure easy to make. Took no time at all.
I'm soooooo tempted to just sit here and visit, but I've got things to do. *sigh* So I will TTYL!

Another foggy day here. Started out very foggy here, but the sun is now shining. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Things change from one minute to the next.

To: Billie
I think you should consider saving it, then. Surely a good poem will show up that was made for the picture. Thanks, Billie! :)
