Good evening, MEG. I am just now getting to answer my pings.

I am definitely ready for a touch of spring! Thank you for that!

I didn’t think Christmas until after I posted it.

Is that a wreath on the window? Since we can’t tell which, we can declare it a winter poem. :)

To me, Cardinals say winter even tho you always see them on Christmas cards. I wish we had them here. :)

Thanks again for the graphic .... winter or Christmas, it is adorable.

Still warm in SoCal, sent some your way Mama Bear, did it arrive? :-)

It did!! Not really "warm", but in the sun it was quite comfortable. In fact, I worked outside for a little while today and almost worked up a bit of a sweat......ummmmm.......I mean, I almost "glistened". Women don't "sweat". LOL.

That's for sending up the sunshine, dita, it is very welcome!

32!?!? My goodness, you really do have big temperature swings! Last I heard it was in the 70’s.

I love today’s pretty birds and their ‘homes’! And the poem is wonderful!

Thanks, Billie. Sorry I am late replying. I thought I would never get here today.....well, I almost didn't get here 'today'. LOL.

Isn’t that odd that you had such dense fog and down here we had none at all?. Maybe a litte light fog very early in the morning, but the sun started shining about 9:00 and it was beautiful all day.

Evenin’ Ladies.

Sure was a beautiful day in the neighborhood... blue skies, warm sun and a beautiful sunset.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll work on my tan. :)

Wasn’t bad in the valley today, was it? I could stand for it to be a little warmer, but I could almost feel spring in the air.....maybe, a little.

Looks like you were in a little pocket of fog today, Amy. Dave and I both had a nice sunshiny day.

We took Marissa to school at 11:00. It was still pretty foggy.

She said her teacher told her that if the buses are cancelled to stay home because it is too dangerous to be on the roads. There were several multiple car accidents this morning but I don’t think there were any severe injuries.

We had a nice warm, (considering) sunny afternoon.

If she is home tomorrow, I will need to find her some homework. I don’t want her doing nothing all day.

Well, that's not bad. It's still a little cool for my taste, but I know that in many parts of the country people would kill to have a January day in the 60's.

I whine a lot about the cold, but actually, we have it pretty good here. Winter is quite cold and damp, but very short. We could start having some really nice days in the 70's in only a matter of four weeks or so.

We need rain badly. We are way behind in rainfall this season. We absolutely have to have a wet spring.....I sure hope we do!

Two years ago we had the deluge..very rare..last year we were praying for more rain..this year, too..We usually are cold in February .
I spied a new bird today..I think it is a warbler but not sure..quick look..I had cardinals, bluejays, a white throated sparrow, house finches,a red breasted woodpecker, a darling carolina wren either drinking or feeding on the patio today..Great bird watching time of the year here...

It’s In God’s Word
I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart. —Psalm 119:32

As optimistic as I am (I can find a bright side to just about everything), I also know that life can be a dark and lonely place.

I’ve talked to teenagers who have a parent whose anger makes just going home after school a dreaded trip.

I’ve known people who can’t escape the curtain of depression.

I’ve spent considerable time with others who, like my wife and me, are enduring life with the sudden death of a child.

I’ve seen what relentless poverty can do to people all over the world.

Despite knowing that these scenarios exist, I don’t despair. I know that hope is available in Jesus, that guidance comes through the Spirit, and that knowledge and power are found in God’s Word.

The words of Psalm 119 give us encouragement. When our soul “clings to the dust,” we can be revived according to God’s Word (v.25). When our soul is full of sorrow, we can be strengthened by His Word (v.28). When we are threatened by deceit, we can follow the truth of His Word (vv.29-30). Our heart can be set free by God’s commands (v.32).

Are life’s demands overwhelming you? If so, you can find hope, guidance, and knowledge to help. It’s in God’s Word.

If your soul is parched and thirsty
And you feel weighed down by care,
Go to God’s Word for refreshment—
You’ll find strength and comfort there. —Sper

A well-read Bible makes a well-fed soul.

Now I like my coffee as well as tea but it's a bit hard on my stomach and tea isn't as bad so I had to find a tea that was as much like coffee as I could find. I drink coffee and chicory along with tea during the day and limit my straight coffee to the morning. If you like citrus in black tea then you might like Lady Grey.

This link is to a YouTube embed and a cartoon so may cause you a problem.

A tune to go with the Irish Breakfast..

My daughter has a Chihuahua that looks very much like that one and she has clothes for it.
