FRiends, today marks ten years that I have been on FreeRepublic. I want to say thank you to Jim Robinson for providing this site and for providing a forum for conservatives to bounce ideas off each other and to wax eloquently(or just plain wax ad nauseum)on the political issues of the day.
I want to say thank you to all of you for the insights and knowledge so freely shared here that enhances the understanding of a myriad of subjects every day, and which has helped me to make sense of the events of the last ten years.
Although many in the mainstream media have refused to give FreeRepublic its due, it is beyond question that this site has helped to shape political history in America in the last ten years. Those of us here know the score. I have met some of you over the last ten years, and I know the fine quality of the people on this site.
To any I may offended or been short with in my electronic ramblings, I offer my sincere apologies. To any of you that were enlightened by my posts in the last decade, I have no idea how that happened!
And to all of you, I wish a healthy, prosperous and joy filled New Year in 2009 for you and your loved ones.

Funny you mention “scared back then”. In one of my first posts I asked if we would could get get into trouble talking about clinton the way were doing. Jim calmed this noobie down quite a bit-lol.

Ahhh, A+Bert! That brings back memories. Wasn’t he the one that kept getting kicked off the forum. There were a few more infamous people like that around since I joined in 2000. A woman that drove everyone nuts all the time. She was a liberal that used to post here. Can’t remember her name. Anyone remember?
