The New Year week is here. Wishing you all the best.
A quick Monday morning start for the week.
Know what I had for b’fast this morning? A SWEET POTATOE!!!
Toby
Welcome back, Molly. I hope you had a good time.
Why, thank you so much, bev! And Happy New Year to you!
Glad you’re back!
Welcome home!
Did you have fun?
How was lunch with Ev?
How are ya doin’?
Hope you’re sleeping a lot and feeling better!
Happy New Year to you all!!!
Happy New Year, kassie.
The only football game of the day that I’m truely interested in is over. So I’m going to start hauling boxes and bags of Christmas decorations to the basement. bbl
Happy New Year, kassie!
Happy New Years!
I have been sleeping a lot today, but no, sorry, I’m not feeling any better.
I need some advice. Y’all know that I suffer from migraines. Last night after I went to bed, I had, off-and-on, several coughing episodes that left me with a horrible headache. I woke up this AM with my head being absolutely pounded off my shoulders. It had typical migraine symptoms.
It is still following those symptoms.
But it occurred to me, could this be a hang-over? I was not drunk last night. I did have in the course of the evening 2 bloody marys and at midnight the champagne. I’ve drunk that much before (and actually drunk much more) with no difficulties. It is just the coincidence of the evening followed by the headache which makes me wonder. If it is a hang-over, how long will it last?
First, Happy New Year!
Second - I am not a doctor or a nurse and I do not play either on any TV commercials, but I think that you should go to the ER.
I’m reluctant to say this because I, for one, can’t stand going to the doctor because they always want to give me medication and I won’t take it, so it’s a waste of their time and my money. However, I really think you need to have both the cough and the headache looked into.
Happy New Year to all!
lysie, that breakfast looks so good. One of my favorites.
Thanks for all the wonderful breakfasts and TGIF feasts you offer us.
I am considering that course of options. The headache hasn’t exceeded something I’ve had before, even in the time frame. But I am considering it.
To all of us who have family members who send out political missives, y’all can be proud of me. I hate confrontation and normally avoid it. I literally walk away (but harbor resentment about it). Well, earlier today, my conservative brother sent out an epistle with which I agree. But he sent it to the entire family. My liberal brother, who lives in Chicago and WHO LURKS HERE FROM TIME-TO-TIME (HIYA, BRO), answered him just a few minutes ago. That was also sent to the entire family.
It has started. So, I decided to confront both of them. This is the letter I just sent to the entire family:
Happy New Year!
Dear members of my family. I love and respect you all. I have a request.
Because we hold to different political persuasions, and
Because this has been a particular divisive and painful election, and
Because I do not recall me sending to you all any letters reflecting my
political bent (although I’m sure you know where I stand),
I therefore request and beseech you, to
NOT SEND ME ANY POLITICAL LETTERS SNIPING AT EITHER PARTY.
Thank you,
Mary
What think you all? Was I respectful and considerate to everyone? Did I attempt to control their actions outside of where it affects me? Was it accusatory more to one side than another? Frankly, I don’t blame the one brother for answering the other. I could feel it coming.
I also realize your responses to me are a bit moot. I already hit the “send” button. But tell me anyway.
Well, maybe it’s just me,,, but I really think you should have started the letter by telling them that you’re hung over.
full disclosure, you know!! ;>)
LOL!
So, you think this may be a hang-over? How long do hang overs last?
In the case of the November election..... about 4 years.
/johnny
If that weren’t so sad, it would be really, really funny.
I really have no idea whether or not you’re truely hung over. I was just spoofin’ ya.
Someone mentioned earlier, that you should see a Doc, and given that you have international travel plans in your near future, I think it’s a good idea.
You need to get your ears cleared up before you fly. Not to mention the other ailments.
Whoa, look what the cat dragged in - or is it catz?
Just funnin’ you /john. Good to see you. Hope that you holidays have been full of good health, food, friends and love.
That you should have been “your”. Even proof reading doesn’t help me.
