Fishing on the Trinity River years ago one of those dang birds caused my little sister to fall out of our boat when it suddenly surfaced right where she was hauling a fish out of the water...she told mom on me.

The first time I saw an anhinga I thought someone had nailed some poor bird to a log by it’s wings! Obviously a little watching showed me he was drying himself. They are a ball to watch. Thanks for the reminder.
