A report published by the Heritage Foundation refutes the picture painted by the msm that our military is made up of the poor and disadvantage who cannot find employment elsewhere. “For example, 70% of Army recruits are from families of middle or higher, almost 25%from the richest family quintile”

This does not surprise me. We have the richest families in America with their kids in the military. You have the McCains, Bidens, Palins, Hunters, etc. I think this should be known to everyone.

But these people aren't heroes, they're dupes, tricked into serving the military machine by a president who cooked up this illegal war to blah blah blah...

We are seeing an acceleration of the idea that the military that preserves the actual nation is somehow outmoded and without value in a borderless utopia. The REAL heroes are ACORN workers and other "community leaders" whose entire goal is draining money into useless community programs which are ultimately about giving "community leaders" something to do which they wouldn't be able to earn in real life.

Reagan talked about “heroes” being everywhere in the general population. But in politics, there doesn’t seem to be any heroes available at this time.

In my town, we would be considered middle to upper middle class, we have lots of yellow ribbons and Blue Star Flags hanging in windows.

The 4 young men that I know currently serving are all 4 yr. college grads who joined the Marines after school.
