Congratulations to the happy couple. They made a difficult commitment to purity and kept it.
Many Kudos to Melody LaLuz and Claudaniel Fabien!

that’s a bit extreme if you ask me. Now, they might not have kissed but I bet the engaged in some clinton lewinsky action because by Clintoon’s definition, that’s not sex.

Pretty cool.
My wonderful DH and I didn’t kiss until we were engaged.

Sounds a lot like the story of 1995 Miss Black America
Lakita Garth.
Lakita says in this interview that her grandfather kissed her grandmother for the first time on the altar.

Good for them. Congratulations and God’s blessings for them and their marriage.
I am sure God will honor their obedience to His Word.

Sorry, I think this is stupid. It is unnatural not to kiss someone you love. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH KISSING. It’s taking a good point to an absurd level thus rendering the original point meaningless.

I wish them well.
That said, kissing is not sex and their behavior is bizzaro. Not kissing isn’t a sign of purity or following God’s plan. It’s an aberration IMHO.

My former roommate and his wife did the same thing out of a commitment to purity.

Our teenage son (soon to be 16) knows to work diligently in order to provide an economic base for his future family.
At that point, he will enter into courtship with a young lady by first approaching her father.
Their courtship will be kept pure, and their first kiss will be at the altar.
He is praying for his future wife and wants a large family.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the couple had never kissed and that they had never been alone together in a house. Suprise, your new bride kisses like a walrus!
Suprise, your new husband has anchovy-breath!
To: Oyarsa
I started my second marriage in the same manner.
It is the very best way.

Agreed. I have a relative who did the same thing. That kiss was electric at the wedding. They are happily married for nearly 15 years now - with 6 kids!

Sounds like quite a bonding experience to me.

Dating Orthodox Jews are not alone together and do not touch until their wedding, as well.

They were on tv. They wanted their marriage, relationship, sex with each other, to be totally special and totally within marriage. Kudos to them. It sure would stop the spread of AIDs if everyone would do this!
