You are very sharp, she's being cared for
at the ThreePuttin retreat facility. Care is being
taken to protect her from other contestants who have
displayed signs of jealousy after being rejected by the
judge at said facility.

MISS WORLD GERMANY 2008 - Anne-Kathrin Walter

Miss World Deutschland 2008 is Anne-Kathrin Walter, a 21-year-old Medicine student hailing from the city of Kiel, northern Germany. Anne-Kathrin is also a model, and her challenge is to become her country's first Miss World semifinalist since 1980. Meet her...

Describe yourself in one or two sentences.

I am fully dedicated to my studies, soon I will be a doctor, and I also do part-time modeling. To relax and get in touch with my inner self, I do yoga. I also enjoy going to the movies.

Which three songs must be in your I-Pod?

- 4 Minutes;
- The Greatest Love of All;
- Dangerous.

Tell us about your “Beauty With a Purpose” Project.

I dedicate my spare time to the German organization "A Star for Children", based in Hamburg. The idea is that computers are distributed in some children's hospitals, so that they can keep in touch with their dearest ones, among themselves, and learn useful information.

What has been your most memorable rainy day?

The day when I left my parents' home to live somewhere else, where I would go to college. It felt like leaving my comfort zone behind, without knowing what to expect ahead.

If you were invited to participate in the next NY Fashion Week, which fashion designer you would like to dress you?

Roberto Cavalli, for sure.

Tell us about the nightlife in your hometown.

I live in a very small city, virtually with no nightlife. If I want to have fun at night, I might drive at least for a couple of hours. Besides, I don't go out very often.

What has been your weirdest dream? Describe it.

I became Miss World! Who knows, sometimes dreams do come true...

Where will the Miss World judges score you highest: interview, swimsuit or gown presentation?

I am sure I will do best in interview and personality.

What message you would like to send to the other Miss World contestants?

Hi girls, I look forward to meet you all! Hugs and love from Germany!

Special thanks to MGO Deutschland Organization and Detlef!

Jokes aside, this post is one of the best posts in promoting harmony among different peoples.

As I reviewed this post carefully I realized that I could have intelligent conversations equally with Miss India, Miss Mexico, Miss Russia and Miss South Africa.

In fact I would like to chat with all four of them simultaneously.

PFMI '08: Winners

“Our dreams have come true and this feels so unbelievable,” said Parvathy Omanakuttan, Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2008, Simran Kaur Mundi, Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2008, and Harshita Saxena, Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth 2008, at the country’s biggest beauty pageant
that was held at the Andheri Sports Complex on Saturday night. Parvathy, 20, came from Kottayam and is studying English Literature at Mithibai College; Simran, 22, is a biotechnology student from Versova; and, Harshita, 20, who is originally from Goa, left college in Canada
to come to India in search of the PFMI crown. Dressed by Ritu Kumar in figure-hugging sarees for the grand finale, the girls were crowned by last year’s winners after they answered the final round question: Was the rising divorce rate in India a result of Western influence?

Earlier, friends and family of the 28 finalists cheered lustily during the star-studded ceremony each time a girl walked onto the ramp and waved out to the audience. The vivacious Dia Mirza and witty R Madhavan, comperes for the event, led the finalists through their paces.

And even though the competition was fierce, there could be seen a bonding between the girls, especially in the manner they applauded each other on stage. Dia, a former Miss India herself, revealed that she was contestant No 14 when she won. “It’s a real lucky number,” the former beauty queen and Bollywood actress said. Indeed, it was! For Parvathy, who won the Miss World crown, was also No 14 in the pageant! “It’s what you make out of that number that is important. A number by itself is not lucky or unlucky,” declared Parvathy. While Simran and Harshita, proud of their crowns and the responsibility that came with them, said, “We have lots of work to do and will now gear up to bring glory to India at the international forum.”

I don’t know about intellectual stimulation but the pages of my internet seem to be sticking together.

This may possibly be a hard drive configuration issue and some of the more tech-savvy contestants featured in the photos here may indeed be able to help you with that.

A worthy goal...what a coincidence indeed that so many of the contestants featured here are interested in similar topics.

Attractive young women - and I think it’s nice that they didn’t have to wear high-heeled shoes to walk on the beach.

Sprained or broken ankles would most likely have put a damper on the competitions, so it's probably a good thing that they went barefoot.

Many agree, both here at FR and elsewhere online.  When I was looking for additional photos, I found that Miss India had the greatest number of fan pages by far.

awwwww....((((BLUSHING))))

Thank you so much for your extremely complimentary sentiments, but in all honesty I would wish to suggest that in reality the truth is that FReepers have simply been starved for hard-hitting, relevant and vitally consequential news coming from Africa and they simply haven't been getting it up to this point.  There has been a deluge of  "fluff-news" lately pertaining to some irrelevant wars, terrorist actions and a Marxist-sleeper takeover of the American government and people are simply tired of it all and are so very hungry for some truly relevant and meaningful information that they can use.  I'm delighted that, purely by accident, this essential story from Johannesburg /Durban happened to fulfill a need out there but it was destined to happen at some point and it just happened to be me that posted it....but thanks anyway   :-)
