9) Harvard vs Yale: Northeastern elitists' version of tailgating and a rivalry can be amusing. The MIT students usually have something planned for this one.

I bet the Tailgate Parties have Chablis and Brie..............

USC (I am a proud alum!!!) is hardly “Hollywood” since it’s located in the big, fat, middle of gang territory. And who cares where UCLA is?

All of which are more interesting to me than the superbowl. Which is one of the many reasons I am not interested in a college football playoff.

I am so dun with all of these media types (who would make big bucks off of a college playoff) insisting that only college presidents oppose playoffs.

Grew up with the Harvard/Yale game.

FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!

The perfect excuse not to do ANYTHING around the house, eat fattening foods, and drink beer!!!

It would be worth it just for that!

Actually FAMU vs Bethune-Cookman is a bigger rivalry...they draw huge crowds in Orlando for that one

BYU-Utah...the Holy War...is bigger than Notre Dame-BYU..and BYU-Utah is the biggest rivalry in the Rockies

Clemson-South Carolina is traditionally a nasty game...and a big post0game fight a few yrs ago led to Lou Holtz getting pushed out

Texas-Texas A&M is huge...do they still take the winner to the Chicken Ranch?

Oregon-Oregon State is the better PAC-10 rivalry...the Civil War

And I miss former huge rivalry games like Nebraska-Oklahoma, Penn State-Pittsburgh, and Auburn-Florida

6) Alabama vs Auburn: The Iron Bowl.

Number 6?

Anyone who has lived in Alabama around game time can tell you that this is number 1, without a doubt.

Arkansas vs. LSU - always the Friday after Thanksgiving. The Hogs put a chink in the LSU national championship crown last year. Game is not so important this year, but will still be playing for The Boot.

Florida State & Florida and Florida State & Miami are two pretty intense rivalries. The Gators have rebuilt while Miami and FSU are rebuilding. In the next few years, all Hell will break loose on Florida Gridirons. Oklahoma & Texas is a very heated rivalry, as well as Oklahoma & Nebraska (down but not out).

Arkansas-Texas used to be big. Now Arkansas is about to start playing Tex A&M in Dallas every year. A rivalry in the making.

Arkansas-LSU is a pretty good rivalry.

As is Tenn-Bama. Got to go to this one a few years back.

Notice how I love the SEC? But it looks like the Big 12 is the power conference this year and I like it, too. Went to Baylor and Texas.

Two of the best games I ever attended was Baylor-Tex A&M. Ended with a last second field goal two years in a row. Baylor hates the Aggies about as much as the Aggies hate the Longhorns.

And I love the Red Raiders! Very colorful team!

Clemson and South Carolina should be on that list. Always a heated rivalry, and you can throw the records out for this game.

The KU vs. MU game is a long bitter rivalry.
It started when the border war across their common border was still within the memory of those living and has keep some of that spirit of bitterness.

The last regular season game is permanently scheduled as this match and has always produced unexpected results. Whichever team has the best record or rating (most often in recent decades, Missouri) better watch out as they often lose.

I expect a great battle again this year.

Harvard - Yale is probably my favorite.
It is the country's longest - having started in 1875 - they met for the 125th time the other week.

5) Ohio State vs Michigan: This dates back to the war fought between Michigan and Ohio over Toledo. They say Ohio lost.

LOL.
I was gonna cite the WIKI reference where Ohio got Toledo when it "won", but then my sense of humor kicked in.
Good one.
