When Scott Nobles returned home from tending to a sick horse, he and his fiancée were shocked to find one of the couple’s dogs badly hurt and bleeding, and the other dead.

“I called the cops because I thought someone had shot my dog in the head, that’s how bad the damage was,” said Nobles, a deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley station.

He soon learned it was not a human that attacked his dogs.

The attack took place... inside the couple’s back yard.

“We heard the puppies whining and crying, but we couldn’t find the other two,”

Then the couple found the grisly sight. The fight was so violent that blood and hair was matted to the wall of the couple’s home.

Nobles is concerned for the safety of children in the neighborhood.

“There’s a bus stop not more than half a mile away from here and if it can take down a 75-pound dog with no problem, there’s no telling what it can do to a kid who weighs less than 100 (pounds),”

Terry, Steve, the crocodile hunter's wife, was instrumental in getting the law changed so that cougar are a protected species. Since taking away their only threat (other than that one mule) they have become embolden. There will continue to attacks on on fuzzy little house pets and people until the Ca. legislature gets a clue.

By the way, cougar tastes great. No kidding. Here in Arizona the season is open year around. Harder than heck to hunt though. Easiest way is on horseback, with dogs. My last cougar hunt went 7 days days before I finally got one.

I’m impressed. I didn’t think that there was much that could stand up to a grizzly.

Funny. The cougar was protecting her cubs. The bear looked like a big bully who was stunned when he took a good shot from a little kid.

It’s just doing what a kitty has to do.

Protect your animals if you want to keep them.

Keep the dogs in the house....they attract them.
