I’ve been thinking of giving the Shield a shot. But ... already watch 24, The Unit, Heroes, House and Smallville.
24 2-hour movie on Sunday ... woo hoo!
H
Absolutely! I'm still shaking from last night. On one hand, I can't wait to see how it plays out, on the other, it's like watching a train-wreck... you don't want to look but you have to. I'm dreading the fact that with next week it's done.
Missed season 1, but joined it mid-season 2.
Entertaining and a bit on the edge.
I recorded last eve’s episode — haven’t watched it yet.
Love the show!
The Shield, 24, The Thief (only lasted one season but it was a good show too!)...I’ll hate to see The Shield come to an end. The last couple of episodes have me on the edge of my seat!!
The only show that I have watched since MASH went to reruns ... I have the entire show on DVD ... awesome ... going out at its peak
I love the Shield. I will miss it. But I think Vic’s antics this season have been more unbelievable than Jack Bauer’s.
Best drama series ever.
I have enjoyed it but it went on a season too long IMO. The pulling a rabbit out of his ass at the last second gets old and harder and harder to accept as a viewer.
When he was walking out of the ICE interview/debrief you really got a sense on just how evil he is. Laughing about having killed someone, telling the lady that he had done worse to people. The lack of morality in his character was never more on display than it was last night. In past times you could see him as a dual faced character. Looking out for #1 but trying to do the right things when he could. He seemed to lose all pretense of trying to do right where he could.
He has to meet some form of end. Getting arrested and going to jail would be unsuitable. Killing him, on the other hand would be a bit too easy. Getting away with everything would be somewhat fitting but unjust. No, I think he has to eat a .45 hollow point.
Best line last night: “How much memory does that thing have?” (Vic, at start of his confession).
I disagree that Vic is evil. He is a practical but jaded lawman that sees the joke that the justice system (and urban society) has become, and has concluded that he might as well use it rather than be used. Not unlike the Earps or Judge Roy Bean. I hope he walks scot free.
(( ping ))
I'm hoping the final scene will be Vic walking away with his new ICE badge and a little grin; Claudette being carted away to the funny farm, and, unfortunately, I'm betting that the kid kills Dutch.
Mara is going to get killed in a shootout, then Shane blows his own brains out.
Vic goes down in a ball of flame, and lands in prison for the rest of his life. In his final act, he tips of Ronnie and Ronnie escapes into Mexico.
And, in the most absolutely amazing storyline in the history of television, Julian remains an ex-homo after having successfully received counseling from his minister to turn away from that destructive lifestyle. How the hell did that slip by the Hollywood cultural watchdogs?!?!
ASTOUNDING SHOW!!
Vic confessing to Olivia, Corrine watching her world crumble, Claudette coming in just in time to watch Vic get immunity, losing it, then firing Dutch, Shane and Tina at the dumpster, Ronnie being betrayed by Vic...what incredible TV, the best show around.
I’m not watching 24 this year. The conservative producer was fired, they hired a lesbian activists to play the president, the Redemption movie seems to be Jack Bauer all weepy because he hurt bad guys...yecch.

what happend at the very end? Vic grabbed his gun....bust out Ronnie?....go cowboy...Wow haunting
After a life of utter depravity and unspeakably evil crimes, Vic Mackey's ultimate punishment is getting a crappy job just like mine.
