And, in the most absolutely amazing storyline in the history of television, Julian remains an ex-homo after having successfully received counseling from his minister to turn away from that destructive lifestyle. How the hell did that slip by the Hollywood cultural watchdogs?!?!
Yeah. I figured that storyline would have required the show's producers to wear sackcloth and ashes in public, and to flog themselves in order to obtain forgiveness.
Shane, you called. I thought he would turn himself in, take all the heat for everything, and save Mara.
I did think a better ending would have been to have the kid kill Dutch, and drive Claudette over the edge.

The finale disappointed me greatly. For some reason over time, I've grown to hate Claudette and her disgust with Vic. She accused Dutch of being "sanctimonious," but if there is one officer in the show who was sanctimonious, it was Claudette. She was the epitome of following rules for rules' sake, while being of limited effect. In fact, I think over the six seasons, she never broke a single really big case. Dutch did; Vic obviously did.
