I'm writing to ask for everyone's prayers. I'll be undergoing robotic prostatectomy for prostate cancer on Wednesday in New York City and to say that I'm nervous is an understatement. I've tried to prepare myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually for what's to come as best I could. I'm a firm believer in what the power of prayer can do. Thank you.
You have my prayers. Hopefully, this won’t be nearly as bad as you think.
You got it! Prayer just went out. Good luck. The doctors have great cures for this.
I’m a widow who was robbed of my mate by cancer. I understand your fears, and will add you to my prayer list.
Let us know how it goes.
May God ease your anxiety and salve your pain and may you dwell in the house of the Lord for years to come!
In the Name of Jesus, I pray that by His stripes you are healed.
Also, pray Psalm 121. I have it memorized, and it has been of help and comfort to me in countless situations, especially medical procedures.
Psalm 121 (NIV)
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Prayers up for a successful, smooth operation and for your peace and calm.
May you know that the Lord is with you, not a sparrow is sold in the marketplace but that he does not hold it in his hand. You are in his light and in his sight.
I am praying for you, RU88. May your recovery be a swift one.
Seriously, I pray everything goes well and God watches over your recovery.
As one who lost her beloved father to prostate cancer, I will be praying for you...
Prayers for calm heart and mind and quick healing.....
Outcome for this is quite good.....
Done.
Please know that you are not alone. Take comfort in that.
Prayers.
As far as the procedure goes - I had it in Feb. 2004 and there was very little discomfort involved. Surgery on Monday afternoon, released from the hospital Wednesday morning with no restrictions other than not lifting heavy weights, dinner out with friends Wednesday evening (albeit wearing a catheter). Catheter out Friday morning, sent home to take it easy for a couple of weeks, and that was pretty much it. Technologically remarkable both in the precision and in the drastically improved recovery time compared to conventional prostatectomy. You’ll do fine!
Prayers going up. Keep us posted, please.
Prayers for you! Keep your mind focused on God—it’s so easy to get overwhelmed by our fears. Keep us updated!
Prayers up!
We are, at every moment, in Your Loving Hands. Through You, all things are possible. Without You, all we attempt is in vain.
So we pray to You, our Almighty and Loving Father, that You
heal our brother, RU88, of his illness. Give him faith in his healers to ease his anxiety. Give him strength of body as he undergoes treatment. And give him peace, Lord, so that he feels Your Eternal, Loving Presence with him at all times.
Hear our voices, Divine Father, as we raise them up in prayer to You for RU88 and for all of Your children who are facing great trials this day.
Amen
Prayers for you. I hope the procedure goes well.
