Prayers up!
Will be thinking of you wednesday.
Good Luck
Father God, I give this surgery to You. Please watch over and protect RU88. Guide the doctors and nurses as they perform this procedure and provide his care. Lord, please be a strong presence in his mind and heart between now and the surgery. Remind him that he is not alone in this and that You already know the outcome. Please put in his path the right people to bring him comforting words and a sense of calm. Help him rest peacefully in the knowledge that You love him more than he can even begin to imagine. This is not a situation anyone would desire to be in, and God You know that he’s seen so much pain in his life already, so I ask that Your mercy would be great throughout the surgery and the healing process. Please grant R a clean bill of health when this is all finished.
Thank You, Lord for Your faithfulness. Please use this situation to heal R and to bring glory to You. It is in Jesus’ name that I ask all these things.
Amen
Will add you to my Men’s Bible Study prayer request. You’ll have more than just me praying for you this week.
God bless.
Saying Prayers.
How’d it go?
Well, I got home on Thursday evening none the worse for ware thank God. I’m still pretty sore (today was the first day I could actually sit in front of the computer). I’ll be going back to New York on Wednesday to have some tubes removed and at that point I should get the surgeon’s prognosis. I want to personally thank everyone who responded to my prayer request. It meant the world to me. Please continue to pray for my complete recovery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

(FReepers, see RU88’s post #30 for his update.)
I’m sure this wasn’t your normal kind of Thanksgiving (whatever that means!), but I’ll bet you had some pretty good things to reflect on, despite it all.
God bless you in your recovery. Please keep us posted as you are able. My best to you!
Hi RU88!
Just returned from our Thanksgiving weekend & got your update.
I’m thanking our Heavenly Father for seeing you safely through your surgery, that the operation is now in the past & that you are up & back on FR...hopefully, by the time you read this, most of the discomfort will have subsided. Besides, the discomfort often isn’t as bad as the doubt and uncertainty we have to deal with at times like this.
So, one down (the surgery) and one to go...talking with your doc about the rest of your treatment. But at least you’re not just beginning the process anymore, you’re half way through it!
Prayers will continue to our Loving Father for your complete recovery and for the day this whole ordeal is behind you.
Best Wishes!
