I am a big fan of all the 007 movies. Seen most several times.

I like the use of technology. He does a lot on his cell and interacts with Hdq computer. Good stuff and modern capability. I remember the older movies when they had the required scene with Q. Now they don't need Q. They're just using what's avilable.

This movie had a lot of old school action scenes: car chases, boat chase, fights, airplane, roof-top etc. Not the usual torture "you're going to die Mr. Bond" scenes.

Seems to be a recent theme of Bond as the rogue agent. Seemed tiring and used up. Maybe a switch in the next one.

M sure gets around out in the field.

Good to see some of South America in this movie. Now they can go back into space. The main Bond girl is a need-a-milk-shake model type, but easy to look at.

There is a tribute to Goldfinger I won't divulge.

Nice to see the villian posing as an environmentalist.

Anyone else?

Do we need a spoiler alert in a James Bond movie?

Sounds cool. I will have to take Mr. Bear out to see it.

The reviews I’ve read suggest I wouldn’t like it. I’ll just have to see Judi Dench in something else.

If only there was the audacity to have Bond in a future movie unmask a Marxist plot to take over a major nation.

Yes I meant America.

Anybody care to poke fun at a name of the Obama/villain 007 movie, other than something crude like “Blackfinger”.

Mrs. F went to see it tonight, under protest, with a bunch of coworkers.

Medved gave a really negative review of it today. Surprised me. I haven’t seen it yet, but Medved’s reviews are usually pretty reliable.

Something that annoyed him was the anti-american, anti-capitalism messages throughout. Can you comment on that?

I find Craig very unappealing. He somewhat reminds me of Putin.

I think you can divulge the tribute. It’s been reported for months.

I see we’re all boycotting Hollywood. OK. A review of this piece of trash I read this morning said it’s one of the worst Bonds.

Saw it today. Lots of action not enough story and it was confusing to boot. Bad guy wasn’t very bad looking at all, kind of a foreign nerd. Not as good as Casino.

It is my feeling that Craig is the best Bond since Connery. This one is a bit dark, but is basically part two of Casino Royale..the beginning of the Bond series.

One problem I have had with these last two (since they are supposed to be at the beginning of the Bond saga) is that Judy Dench plays M. Not that I don’t like her in the role. I think she is awesome. But when she took over as M several movies back the part was played as if she were taking over as M from the previous male M. I believe they should have used a male to fit more with that sequence.

I thought it was sacrilege that there was no scene with Q.

I also felt that they made the USA, with the exception of Felix, to be an evil government. Did not appreciate that.

Shorter than some Bond movies, it was very entertaining and certainly shaken, not stirred.

It was good for what it was. Far heavier on the action and not much on the spying part. Oh look at Bond running from one action sequence to another.

I have to agree with the reviews that say Marc Forster was compensating for not being an action director. Amazingly he almost totally abandons his strength in this movie. The dramatic moments aren't present hardly at all.

This movie is taking far too many cues from the Bourne series.

They still have a great set of actors for the returning characters so hopefully things will progress in the next movies.

Oh and Olga Kurylenko is good looking, but I'm becoming more of a fan of Gemma Arterton.

I saw this picture today and loved it. What I like is less dependence on gadgets and more on a storyline.
I think Daniel Craig is about as good as Sean Connery ever was in his prime, maybe better.
It was a good action picture and certainly did not have a slack moment.
I really like the actor playing Felix Liter, they need to use him a little more in the next picture.
People right now are looking for escapism and this is the ticket.
So go see it and enjoy, I intend to see it again.

Bond movies were at their pinnacle in the sixties. They were creative, innovative and original. Beginning in the 70’s they started borrowing from the genres de jour - in the latest installment they seem to be borrowing heavily from the Bourne movies. The latest version has a thin plot and weak characters.

Who cares? I still enjoyed it. Favorite scene - the rooftop chase. Bonus scene - get to see a $200,000 car get demolished in the opening scene. Also, it's good to see Bond back to being a ruthless killer (like Connery was). Need to shop around for a better villain Though...

Yeah, the villian’s “Global Warming” BS reminded me of Al Gore. GW really is an international racket though, which makes it scarier than a movie.
