A few weeks ago, I have e-mailed the Governor of Hawaii about Obama's birth certiicate and here is what the Governor answered me:

"For Immediate Release: October 31, 2008

STATEMENT BY DR. CHIYOME FUKINO

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.

“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.

“No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i.”

So we don't know if they saw the short or the long BC form!!

Here is the Governor's e-mail:

Ask her if she has only Obama's short BC form or if she also has his long BC form. I have just sent her an e-mail. I have aslo asked her if it's true that "From 1911 to 1972, in Hawaii a person -- over the age of one -- whose birth was not registered -- could apply for a short form birth certificate in Hawaii. " (I asked her this because it looks pretty easy for those born between 1911 and 1972 to fake a birth in Hawaii and get a Hawaii short form BC !)

A million should be enough for someone in the office to take the alleged document out of storage and show it to the media, and then put it back. They would get fired or fined or something, but the million should cover their trouble. If it exists Obama himself should allow some poor clerk to show it so they can get the money. There must be something really rotten about this document.
