I just bought a toilet for a bathroom I’m putting in the basement. You would not believe how expensive a crapper can be. Up to six hundred bucks for a plain old toilet.

Could be worse. Checkout this Kohler "Hatbox" toilet for $3,500. No, the model is not included in the price!   ;-)

A note to my husband and the men on this forum, when you tinkle do not sprinkle, wipe the rim of the tidy bowl and last but not least - PUT THE SEAT DOWN!!!!!! There needs to be a recording of Helen Thomas or Roseanne Barr stating this on the tidy bowl, then maybe the: uhhhh honey, I will remember to do it next time excuse will be never more!!!!!/Just Asking - seoul62......

...and probably needs to be flushed 3 times completely clear.

On the box it says it will flush a roll of tp 150 feet. I asked the guy what that meant and he didn't know.

That's a good thing. She's got one of the most horrible hairdo's I've ever seen.

I explained it to my wife years ago this way: Either you take responsibility for checking whether the toilet seat is up or I leave it down all the time and you take your chances with my aim.

I will not be bullied into thinking it's my responsibility to make sure the seat is down for her.

Do you raise the seat after your done so your husband doesn't have to?

I do check, it is also common courtesy - to put the seat down. We have only one bathroom, all that I am asking for is a little consideration from hubby and the males on this forum on this matter. I do not leave the seat up, I was not raised to leave it up, the tinkle function is not the only function that one performs, sometimes nature calls and well, you cannot perform that function standing up. It is my job to clean up the bathroom and all I am asking from my husband and the gentleman on this forum - guys, think of your wives who have to clean up the bathroom, a little bathroom etiquette, please. Please leave the seat down, and clean up after yourselves, do not make it look like an aftermath of a hurricane, IT ONLY MAKES OUR JOB HARDER. I am clean and neat when I have to use the bathroom and I do not expect you to be as clean and neat as a gay man but do not be a slob about it either./Just Asking - seoul62......

Does it come with duct tape, or is that X-tra?

So heterosexual men are all slobs?

Just to drive my wife crazy, when my daughters were little, I used to tell them to always leave the seat up when they were done. ;~))

When I go to meetings I put my toilet seat on “vibrate” instead of “ring.”

No, but my husband is quite a messy fellow. I apologize to all the straight men on this forum, who are as neat as my Late Father. I know neatness is not a gay male characteristic but how many male freepers leave a hurricane size mess, that they expect their wives to clean up after. Admissions of frankness, please./Just Asking - seoul62.....

Is this to cover the noise or when things don’t make it all the way down?

If there isn’t a toilet handbook, maybe there should be?

You would not believe the number of patents (or at least patent applications) directed to toilets.
People do a lot of thinking there, I suppose.

It's all part of our "can-do" spirit!

If it vibrates, won’t that increase the chance of men peeing on it?

Yes, but it will automatically do the "shake".
