Quite cordially disagree completely.

She needs to be out there defining herself.

And the race for 2012 is on whether anyone objects to that or not.

Slow it down? No. Crank it up.

Good thoughts.

I think it will die down on its own a bit.

I think we are all just grasping for some hope after the historically horrific “decision” make by American voters last week.

Governor Palin will be back, if she chooses, but I too am for letting her escape from the national stage for awhile.

I agree because it gets offensive. Give Palin time to earn all the worshipping that she gets, then maybe she will get some credibility. I’m open to it. You are turning off people when you bend over backwards for someone as if they are being annoited. It would be much better if the perception were that she earned it. She might have potential, but this is the United States for pete’s sake, not the United Kingdom. Please let’s keep this in persepctive.

We can do many things.

Among them:

1) Attack Democrat stupidity!
2) Recruit socially conservative African Americans
3) Recruit socially and economically conservative Latin Americans
4) Shave of middle-roaders who become disappointed in Obama, so that they’ll moderate their mistake by electing a Republican Congress in 2010
5) Support Bobby Jindal
6) Support other conservative Governors who might win
7) Support Sarah Palin

The correct answer about what to do is “All of the above and more!”

Agreed. She's a solid conservative, wonderful.....and was thrust upon the national stage way before her time.

She's not ready, not qualified, not experienced enough, not qualified enough.

In time, she may be. Now, she's not.

"the Governor needs to go back and govern her state....she needs to be re-elected afterall.....she needs to get off the national stage for a while"

I agree. She needs to spend more time governing and build a background through action. As much as I like her, she is not ready to be president just yet. Of course, since Hussein was elected, the bar for what it takes to be president has been dramatically lowered. Now anyone could be president, because qualifications sure as hell don't matter anymore.

No candidate knows the circumstances they will find themselves in 2 years or 4 years.

Governor Palin may not be the nominee but history would tell us that Vice-Presidents and Vice-Presidential candidates have an advantage over the competition. They have been in a national campaign for the POTUS. She is more recognizable than other candidates.

She can use this to her advantage over the next several years by doing some public speaking, writing a book etc. which gives her an edge.

I don't think anyone has coronated her as the candidate but we should recognize that if she plays her cards right she could be the candidate.

I agree 100%. Sarah Palin needs to go away for a while. Come back in 2010 help some Republicans get elected.

No. She is great. I think she needs to stay on the national stage as much as possible. give policy speeches. A lot like Reagan did.

There is no way around it. She is great. Why should we hide her in Alaska ?

She is governing her state. She also needs to remain visible, and active, in the lower forty-eight.
Sarah Palin is truly unique amongst all national, state, and local politicians. No other circumstance(s) will change this, as none will alter the reality of her being the de facto head of the G.O.P.

Of course I nor anyone else can dictate as to what course she should take. But if she chooses to challenge Obama in 2012 she knows millions are ready to help her in charting, and fulfilling this goal.

People want to know her better.

She has been about the only one to take on and criticize the bailout program.

Sarah Palin is doing what she has to do right now: restore her reputation. She cannot exit stage left with the rumors and innuendo hanging out there as the last thing said about her. She and she alone has to have the last word on who she is. She is on a mission and she has to complete it.

Then, when she accomplishes that, she should return to governing Alaska, supporting the rebuilding effort of the GOP, supporting GOP candidates for the House and Senate in ‘10, and see how things shape up for the national stage after that ‘10 election.

If BO holds on to his popularity and she puts off running till ‘16, Gov Palin will be only 52 Joe Biden will be 70 (or 74) so no way would he be the Dem nominee, and Hillary will be 64 (or 69).

Gov Palin has time, which most others now on the national state (except Gov Jindal) do not enjoy.

Gov Palin will know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em.

As for her interviews, she should keep on but ease off some, don’t do too many. Maybe rest a while.

As for Palin stories posted on FR, keep them coming! They are the main bright spot we have nowadays.

Completely disagree. If she sulks off now then she’s what the media said she is, a bimbo with no brains. She’s doing what she needs to do, showing who she really is so the faked media image doesn’t set into peoples brains. She really needs to go on Leno and Letterman so they’ll stop making those stupid jokes.
