folks and "my friends".....I think we are doing a disservice to Governor Palin, the Republican party, Alaska , and all the other fine candidates that could run for president in 2012, as well as giving way too much prep time to the big B.O.....
the Governor needs to go back and govern her state....she needs to be re-elected afterall.....she needs to get off the national stage for a while.....
it does no good to be promoting her so much at this juncture....
lets keep our powder dry....
for one thing, we may be looking at totally different circumstances 4 yrs from now....it may be necessary to find a different candidate...who knows....
I've given lots of money to the McCain/Palin ticket...I like her a lot...
but we have to stop pushing her every day, or people will get tired of it...example...Hillary....
LOL
I agree 100%. Sarah Palin needs to go away for a while. Come back in 2010 help some Republicans get elected.
No. She is great. I think she needs to stay on the national stage as much as possible. give policy speeches. A lot like Reagan did.
There is no way around it. She is great. Why should we hide her in Alaska ?
Good post.
What the heck ?
She is more qualified than the empty suit that is about ready to move into the White House.
FR is not Adultfriendfinder or MySpace, it’s primarily an opinion forum about conservatism. Opinions...
Um, she's NOT hiding. She's our Governor, and she is very much in public view. We need her here, if you don't mind.
Of course I nor anyone else can dictate as to what course she should take. But if she chooses to challenge Obama in 2012 she knows millions are ready to help her in charting, and fulfilling this goal.
I didnt mean it that way. Of course she should continue doing her job. But as far as national media appearances and policy speeches, she needs to stay with it.
No.
She has been about the only one to take on and criticize the bailout program.
Sarah Palin is doing what she has to do right now: restore her reputation. She cannot exit stage left with the rumors and innuendo hanging out there as the last thing said about her. She and she alone has to have the last word on who she is. She is on a mission and she has to complete it.
Then, when she accomplishes that, she should return to governing Alaska, supporting the rebuilding effort of the GOP, supporting GOP candidates for the House and Senate in ‘10, and see how things shape up for the national stage after that ‘10 election.
If BO holds on to his popularity and she puts off running till ‘16, Gov Palin will be only 52 Joe Biden will be 70 (or 74) so no way would he be the Dem nominee, and Hillary will be 64 (or 69).
Gov Palin has time, which most others now on the national state (except Gov Jindal) do not enjoy.
Gov Palin will know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em.
Never said it was; with whom, specifically, are you arguing otherwise? Not me, plainly.

[::shrugs::] Realize it or don't. I sleep just as soundly, either way.
As for her interviews, she should keep on but ease off some, don’t do too many. Maybe rest a while.
As for Palin stories posted on FR, keep them coming! They are the main bright spot we have nowadays.
Methinks your freudian slip is showing. She's the best thing that possibly could have happened to the GOP, the only republican to draw 30,000-to-60,000 rallyers on a regular basis, the only bright spot in this entire 2 year election cycle, and the only person who has the drawing power to siglehandedly breathe robust life back into this wheezing pachyderm.
I think it's those who "warn us against her" who should give it a rest. Her star is only going to keep rising and shining for a long, LONG time to come.
Amen.

Completely disagree. If she sulks off now then she’s what the media said she is, a bimbo with no brains. She’s doing what she needs to do, showing who she really is so the faked media image doesn’t set into peoples brains. She really needs to go on Leno and Letterman so they’ll stop making those stupid jokes.
There is more to be changed in or around the party before Governor Palin or anyone else has a chance.
She needs to be a certified good governor, good politician, and popular personality when the time comes. You can be damn sure that the left will be combing the woods for anything and everything they can find to discredit her as it is - they have four years and it'll only be worse if we or someone else spends that time hyping her as the only person with access to the white horse.
(Leave "the great one" politics to the Obamaniacs.)
There needs to be some supporting organization - other pols and funding equal to what the left has proved themselves capable of spewing out. Such an organization can be either a bunch of coattail sycophants or like minded conservatives and right of center politicians with some kind of a plan.
The few republicans we have left in office need to lay some groundwork and that takes time.
(About two years had better be enough.)
Governor Palin may very well be the best candidate in 2012 but the party hacks that gave us John McCain won't let go of the reins because FR says they should...the right needs arms, staff, and territory before it nominates Joan of Arc.
Sorry about the rant - "You're right" would have been just as appropriate.
Good post.
Yeah, if you're a jealous female or a footie-stompin', hissy-fittin' sissy boy. Pretty numb and unintentionally revealing post otherwise.
;^O
Are you Michele Obama?
