Can I ask why on earth we aren’t in the above BCS bowl predictions?

Obviously the person doing the projections thinks that OU will beat Tech, dropping them below Texas and OU in the BCS rankings.

The BCS rules state that a conference may have no more than two teams in the BCS bowls. They (erroneously) are expecting those two teams to be OU and Texas.

Texas Tech 48 - OU 41.

I know why!

It’s all of us Univ of Minnesota fans who are poking needles in our Graham Harrell and Mike Leach voodoo dolls every day!

Seriously though, I can’t tell you why. Maybe they’re thinking that Oklahoma will beat Texas Tech.

Notre Dame (5-4) in the Gator Bowl?? I think not.

The best Notre Dame will do barring a collapse by USC is 7-5.

If they go to the Gator Bowl, I will never watch another bowl game in my life.

IMHO Utah would probably play against Boise State if both win out.

I don't think the BCS could do that with the fact that there are automatic tie-ins to every single BCS game sans the title game. The only way that might happen would be if both teams were to lose at least once before the season ends.

No way. Their projection is all wet. If USC and Oregon win out, Oregon goes to the Rose Bowl as co-champion of the Pac 10 because USC went last year. Where are they getting Pitt from? Pitt is ranked 21st now.

Actually, it's Oregon State, not Oregon. The Beavers wouold go to the Rose Bowl if they win out.

St. Petersburg Bowl

Thanks for the post. Here is a bowl game I have never heard of before. In fact, with the bowls now being named by sponsors, and with so many sponsor changes, there are numerous ones that I have trouble recalling.

Even if OU were to beat us(Texas Tech), we still be UT. Which in my mind says that UT sucks more than us. lol

There was an awesome sign at the game Saturday:

Unloved &
Undefeated

You keep your dirty needles away from Graham and Leach! lol

For a second there, I thought maybe you were the disgruntled Texas fan who stole our Tech flag out of our garage. (Can you BELIEVE that!?)

Sore losers!

Yeah, I’m not thinking that a 7 win Notre Dame team will go to a bowl game unless they want some sort of low hanging fruit so they can break their bowl losing streak.

If Oregon State wins out, they are the outright Pac 10 champs.

USC would probably get an at-large bid due to the rankings.

It would be a shame if Vandy doesn’t go to a bowl after such a promising start. I think they have a good chance to beat the Vols though.

If Oklahoma beats Texas Tech in 2 weeks, and then all 3 (OU, TT, Texas) win out, it goes to a tiebreaker system to decide who represents the Big XII South in the conference championship. It’ll go down to the 5th or 6th tiebreaker, which is BCS ranking. If OU beats Texas Tech and then Oklahoma State, they should be ahead of Texas.

I wish the Big Ten and Pac 10 had conference championships.
