A Freeper's Post Election Observation. "As I Was Saying"
11-9-08 | E.G.C.

HOWDY FREEPERS!!!!!!

Yesterday at this time I was composing this op-ed. At the time I finished and hit "post" FR went down. Thanks to Jim and John for getting FR back online this morning.

As I was saying yesterday morning, it has now been several days since the election and already a number of people, many of whom have family to support are very concerned about what is going to happen to Barack Obama's America. I wish I had all the answers but obviously like everyone else I don't. I can tell you I've already seen some of the upcoming previews of Barack Obama's America and like an awful lot of you, I'm not liking what I'm seeing.

As I stated yesterday the news was not all bad in some places. This again is not to try and sugarcoat things but there is actually some bright spots in the last round of elections on some of the local scenes.

Here in Oklahoma for example we replaced a political appointment on the Corporation Commision with someone who has a far more extensive set of knowledge and background in those areas the commision regulates. We also gave the G.O.P. majority control of both chambers in the Oklahoma State Legislature for the very first time in Oklahoma's 108 year history.

Still it doesn't quite take away from the fact that America is now run by an illegal and illegitimate goverment. Like millions of people, I'm now ashamed to be an American. There have been times when I've been proud like when George W. Bush and Bush Sr. and Ronald Reagan were President and others when I've been ashamed like when Bill Clinton were president.

So, what advice do I have for this upcoming onslaught of Barack Obama's America?

Well, first off stock up on your guns and your ammo and keep your gun powder dry. The other day I was reading an article from Newsmax where one of my favortie columists, Ann Coulter said that it was possible there could be some Waco style attacks in Barack Obama's America with this new civilian police force that he is proposing. Yes, it's very scary folks.

Secondly, get yourself a portable battery powered weatheradio to take with you when traveling. With the proposed return of theFairness Doctrine, it's a possibility that aan awful lot of the stations you have come to rely on for life saving weather information and Amber Alerts could very well be going out of business and that weatherradio may very well end up being your only option for news and information.

And, finally keep as low a profile as possible. It's always a good idea when addressing issues of public importance and pointing out the unethical and illegal criminal activities of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid bunch. These elements and their desciples have shown themselves to be very poor sports when it come to people questioning their actions. Sadly some of these Obama hero worshipers are in positions of authority eager to abuse and missuse their power just like in Philadelphia when a man wearing a McCain-Palin t-shirt was hauled off to jail for causing a disturbance even though he did nothing wrong.

The bottom line to all this is just be prepared and ready for the onslaught of Barack Obama's America. I know a lot of folks are very concerned about what's going to happen in the next four years. Believe me I wish I had all the answers but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

And, like I said there have been times when I've been both ashamed and proud to be an American. I was proud for the time when Bush was in office, now I'm back to being ashamed one again.

And, BTW you've heard all this nonsense about celebrations and such. This is not something to celebrate. Having someone with a desire to implement policies which have been tried and failed in other countries is NOT something to celebrate. Yes, a lot of us are crying but for a very different reason. And, that is what has now become of this once great country. It's certainly not something to smile or be happy about.

Regards..........

You ought to be ashamed alright ...but not of America.

I understand being ashamed of decisons made by those that might lead our country, but I will never ever be ashamed of being an American.

Throughout our history, America has sacrificed more and and provided more than any other country in the world. Sure there have been mistakes, but all outweighed by the good we have done and the precious lives we have lost to insure that we and others have a freedom and liberty that many do not enjoy.

Amen, DB. I will always love the USA, even when she becomes unrecognizable.

Sadly, I must take "the one" at his word when he says he's a "citizen of the world." I fear he is only interested in using his rise to power in this country to quite literally "change the world."

Still it doesn't quite take away from the fact that America is now run by an illegal and illegitimate goverment.

You sound like a liberal when you post nonsense like this.

Was there voter fraud? Yes!

Did ACORN pull some shenanigans? Yes!

Were some votes illegal? Yes!

Did Obama win through illegitimate or illegal actions? No. (at least none that can be proven)

The Democrats did not "create" over 8 million votes (Obama's nationwide margin).

Let the liberals be the whiners after an election. We are conservatives. We pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and marshall our resources for the next battle.

We have much to fear from a President Obama, but fear is no match for the power of a unified conservative movement.

I agree DB.

Also disagree with the “lay low” comment. This is a time to unite, not run away from these libs. There's strength in numbers and it's just a matter of time before the real legislative battles will come and we'd better be prepared. Having worked on the Hill when the Gipper was President, I just forewarn everyone...you have no idea the damage these guys can do in 4 years.

My advice, be flexible, pay attention to the new leadership developing in the GOP. Sacrifice time and money to “assemble”. Get involved! This is not a time to hoard and hunker down. If they get us to do that, if that's our response to the messiah’s election, we're digging our own grave and our liberties will be lost. They're counting on us to say, “oh, well” and go back to our normal day-to-day lives while they push their agenda. We do that and it's over.

Which is why I posted it in chat to begin with.

Whether or not a goverment is illegal deoends on whether or not it is doing something that is within what the Constitution says. Now, if there is an association with someone or some organization that is undermining what the prupose of the electoral process is then yes, it's illegal.

Associating with such groups that seek to undermine the elctoral process doesn't make it OK. This isn't what the founding fathers had in mind.

I do agree that fear is no match for the power of a unified conservative unit but I also know not to underestimate the power of what Dems can do with powr once they gain it.

That's why I choose to keep my identity and where I live a secret.

No it's 0bama's fault. Assign blame where it is appropriate, lol

Ergo, you must be working for 0bama. (just kidding)

Seriously, you make some good observations. However I would put the odds of actually seeing another valid presidential election at no better than 50/50 once Comrade 0bama and his politburo are thoroughly entrenched.

Dark days are ahead, and we shouldn't let anyone fool us into thinking otherwise.

You really need to get over this. Bush was the most unpopular President in recent history, most of his policies were hugely unpopular and I look forward to alot of them being dismantled (hopefully alot of his "Executive Orders" will be struck down and restore alot of the rights of the people that have been getting trampled on since 9/11)

At the risk of being labeled a "truther" I'm going to go out there and hope for a meaningful investigation of what actually occured on 9/11 as well, there are just too many questions that didn't get answered. I dont think it will happen but there is a rather large segment of the population that wants it.

Bush really ran the country into the ground on his watch and its going to take a long time to recover, even if Obama wins another term in office (and he probably won't once people realize what an empty suit he is) it will likely be 10 years or more before the US is back to Y2K levels of production and fiscal stability.

Good on you too! The Amercia you know or remember was built on the most noble of ideas. The America you love really is that shining city. To give up on that or to cease to hold fast to that noble idea is to once and for all shame America!

Stand fast!

First off It was Bush who helped us save this nation from an awful lot of terrorist attcks since 9/11.

And I can tell you right now that if it weren't for Bush there would be boms in our back yard.

Those laws that were implemented under the Bush adminstration were what kept us from more 9/11's. Now you tell me do you think Obama has nay interest in keeping this nations safe from terrorists? I don't think so.

His past associations with people like William Ayers raise some very serious and legitimate questions about whether or not he has any interest whatsoever in keeping this nation safe from terrorists. He has made it very clear that he intends to roll back some of those plans.

No sir, there absololutey NO getting over this. I really do fear for thos country and what is going to happen to those who dare to question Barack Obama's actions.
