I understand being ashamed of decisons made by those that might lead our country, but I will never ever be ashamed of being an American.
Throughout our history, America has sacrificed more and and provided more than any other country in the world. Sure there have been mistakes, but all outweighed by the good we have done and the precious lives we have lost to insure that we and others have a freedom and liberty that many do not enjoy.
Sadly, I must take "the one" at his word when he says he's a "citizen of the world." I fear he is only interested in using his rise to power in this country to quite literally "change the world."
I will never ever be ashamed of being an American.
your right 100%
Also disagree with the “lay low” comment. This is a time to unite, not run away from these libs. There's strength in numbers and it's just a matter of time before the real legislative battles will come and we'd better be prepared. Having worked on the Hill when the Gipper was President, I just forewarn everyone...you have no idea the damage these guys can do in 4 years.
My advice, be flexible, pay attention to the new leadership developing in the GOP. Sacrifice time and money to “assemble”. Get involved! This is not a time to hoard and hunker down. If they get us to do that, if that's our response to the messiah’s election, we're digging our own grave and our liberties will be lost. They're counting on us to say, “oh, well” and go back to our normal day-to-day lives while they push their agenda. We do that and it's over.
Good on you too! The Amercia you know or remember was built on the most noble of ideas. The America you love really is that shining city. To give up on that or to cease to hold fast to that noble idea is to once and for all shame America!
Stand fast!
