Nice work. The idea came to me last night that possibly they had picked Sarah, knowing that McCain was a losing ticket, but wanting to damage her (through the media), and thus, destroy any chance of the conservatives taking back the GOP from the liberal GOPs.

There are so few strong, conservative leaders who are able to have the mass appeal that Sarah does. Jindal is a nice guy, but just don’t see him having as strong a following that Sarah is able to get.

I would not put it past the liberal republicans who control the party right now to do this. I was shocked when McCain ended up getting the nomination. Was definitely expecting more of a conservative. But we see now who really controls the GOP....mods and libs.

And they don’t want Sarah or any one else getting the conservatives back in control. That’s why so many of them did not support Sarah and even wrote articles bashing her.

Pretty obvious what’s going on.

Generally, when people say “Neo-Con” it is code for “Jew,” so I don’t use it since libs & Buchanan have co-opted it for their own uses. FWIW, Kristol supported and supports Palin. So does that mean Palin should be tossed aside?

I thought it was supposedly “Right-Wing Christias” who shoved Romney aside? This primary was BAD on Republicans, as it has continued on after the election.

Sorry Mogwai,
but Duncan Hunter was my hero. McCain was only platable after Sarah Palin came on board. Otherwise, my vote was only a vote against Obamessiah.

Hunter was speaking out about subjects even Paul avoided.

Ya’ll did great on the internet, but Paul was a loser from the get go.

How did his proxies do in the state races? Did any actually come close? Not here, they didn’t.

Better luck next time.

Consider that O'Reilly offered McCain 30 minutes to go up against the Obamercial. He refused. Is this true? Do you have a source link?

TRUE as TRUE can be. I've heard O'Ridle mention it several times.

BTW, I'm never watching any FOX programing again, since they piled on Palin.

Interesting how you pretend that neo-cons don't exist and slander those who oppose them.

BOR talked about it following the election. He was bewildered as to why McCain turned it down. The general discussion was that McCain's campaign was one of the worst ever!

They unintentionally (?) made a star of Gov. Palin.

Exactly.
Naming Palin was a strategically smart move because it blunted any possible temptation for conservatives, who were pretty vocal about their distaste for McCain, from rallying behind a possible third party candidate. Remember back then, the elites were certain that Ron Paul was going to run third party, even though he repeatedly denied it.

Though, LDS myself, I supported Ron Paul (and managed to survive the Ron Paul purge here at freerepublic) because, in my view, he was an authentic conservative. Yet, the slanderers of conservatism suggest that I characterized Romney as a conservative. I was only acknowledging his popularity and viability for 2012. Notice the venomous attack for suggesting that there was an effort to block Romney's ascension? Even after Romney campaigned full time for McCain, they still hate him. It is because he demonstrated party loyalty, by campaigning for McCain, that the establishment, and bitter haters, must tear down Romney, even though the election has been lost.

I knew, before I posted the screen shots of the evidence that I found, that the pack of familiar faces would arrive, belittling the evidence, with no evidence of their own, launching personal attacks and lobbing the tired "tin foil hat" phrase to minimize the interesting ties between a politician known for his reputation of betraying his party. While his team is in the process of throwing two popular Republicans under the bus, he calls for unity with a Marxist, after he breezily conceded the election to the Marxist.

The enemies of conservatism aren't only in Washington.

O’Reilly stated this himself, the day after the election. In fact, I believe McCain could have had the entire hour!

“after he breezily conceded the election to the Marxist.”

Yes, he didn’t waste any time in conceding. Thought that was just too early and too easy. Others felt the same.

The only option I see is true conservatives going to a third party. Let the liberals fight for dems or repubs votes.

Well, if Romney took any position he had to in order to win, he would've sold out to Bush, as McCain did. He clearly made an unambiguous effort to align himself with conservatives, rather than with the Bush people.

The neoconservatives are basically former liberals who came into the Republican party. In present-day lingo, they are hawks who want a broad mandate for military action, but care less about small government, or other traditional conservative principles. The Bush team is full of such people, including Bush himself.

I know O’reilly tried to get McCain and Palin on his show. He mentioned that today.

Sorry, but the fund was originally named the “JOHN MCCAIN 2008 GENERAL COMPLIANCE FUND” when it was established on February 25. It was subsequently renamed to the “McCain-Palin Compliance Fund” after her selection.

Nice try, though.

Sorry to burst your smug bubble, but...WRONG!
