Barney the first dog bit a White House reporter today.
Apparently it wasn't the first time. Jon Decker, a political reporter for Reuters, had just finished a live shot for MSNBC at 10:35 a.m. when he spotted Barney and his handler on a walk. He bent down to pet him. Look out.

More hard-hitting reporting from the LA Times, I see.

Perhaps I could talk President Bush into dog sitting for the next couple months....
What's black and tan and looks good on a reporter?

He bent down to pet him This was his mistake. Most animals don't much like someone to swoop down on them. Barney jumped back but the guy just kept reaching so he got bit.
So many people will just run up and want to paw at animals without introducing themselves first.

My dogs seem to recognize insanity. They are very nice around conservative guests, but go crazy at liberals. It could be sensing my reaction, but I have seen enough reactions hiking where the dogs just reacted and could not have seen me behind them. I always had them restrained, but many times the leftists get in my face and issue their threats (near Boulder, CO). I usually smile and tell them I am just about to unleash my dogs on them and “devil” help them if I do. I don’t know why leftists are so filled with hate, but it is not my job to figure it out either.

Well the RNC needs a new Chairman. I think Barney would be a good choice.
