Hypnotized Guy Injured on Imaginary Horse
TMZ ^ | Nov. 6, 2008 | TMZ Staff

Posted on 11/06/2008 10:25:27 AM PST by stylecouncilor

Some poor bastard who was hypnotized into believing he was riding a horse on a Vegas stage wants payback after steering his invisible steed right off the damn stage.

In a Nevada suit, Chad Lee claims that last year, hypnotist Thom Kaz put him under a spell during his Vegas show at Harrah's. He also says Kaz told Lee to "look between his legs and ride a prop," commanding him to believe it was a "black horse." Then, says Lee, he "ran off an elevated stage with the prop between his legs believing he was riding a black horse."

The lawsuit claims Lee was injured, but fails to be specific. Can you sue over injured pride?

Harrah's couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

I’ll enjoy the discovery phase of the trial, where the hypnotist (in order to defend himself) will have to admit exactly how much of his act is crap.

Is there a Darwin Award for idiots who don’t manage to kill themselves?

He oughta sue the imaginary horse since the animal is the one that tried to jump off the stage...

That is interesting because I've always heard you can't be made to harm yourself, for instance jump off a roof, while hypnotized.

I don't believe in hypnotism. If hypnotism was for real then what stops evil people from having people do bad things while under a spell. Things like everything from abuse to terrorism bombing. And when and why do spells wear off if you are separated from your master? It all has to be fake.

i’m thinking Thom Kaz is the idiot. by asking people to come up to the stage, if they are not actually hypnotized, at the first opening, the person would do something that would hurt himself (like a slip and fall artist).... thereby being able to sue the hotel

My first thoughs too! That could be good entertainment there. “I am not laible, beacuse my act is a fraud, and this man is my sister’s, friend’s, uncle’s, bar tender, and knew the whole act was crap.”

I have heard that when you’re hypnotized, you can’t be made to do something that is ingrained in you to be morally unacceptable. For instance, I would not be able to be hypnotized into killing anyone.

As far as hypnotism in general, I do believe there are those who are easily swayed by the power of suggestion. My mother swears that she was hypnotized at a night club many years ago into believing that she was watching a variety of movies that generated different emotions. She claims that she actually saw a cartoon, a snippet of a sad movie, and so on. My mother, God rest her soul, was easily influenced.

Bad idea. Everybody knows that imaginary horses have imaginary money. They carry it in their imaginary wallets.

Guess What? If you’ve ever seen Thom Kaz perform, you will learn that his stuff is NOT crap! He has been able to help many people, besides being an entertainer, with hypnosis! Hypnosis is unbelievable and it really does work!!! Check out UTube. It’s amazing stuff! I’ve even seen him hypnotize people to help them relax for dental procedures, help people with eliminating stuttering problems and even improve the mental side of the golf game! Incredible!

I’m a golf professional and he’s helped several of my students eliminate interference / fears on the course and improve their game. Not many people know this but, Tiger Woods has used Hypnosis since he was 8 years old!!!! Incredible!
