Glenn Beck this morning has been telling all his listeners that everyone should be acknowledging that obama is president to, only to himself, but to everyone.
One caller came on and expressed his concern for the obama presidency and was having a hard time calling obama as his president.
Beck jumped all over him, calling him ant-American. I immediately turned off his show and never will listen to his crap again.
Beck is obviously worried about being kept on the air after the 'Fairness Doctrine' gets reenacted.
Just so ya' know.
If Obama does something right, it shouldn’t need to be praised because most likely it will just mean that he is upholding his Oath of office.
Obama is president. But he’s also the...
Worst. President. Ever.
(Take that lefties.)
Happy Veterans Day everyone!
Beck’s point was he would support him, but if his policies prove to be in opposition to Glenn’s, then he’d oppose him on those things.
He was trying to make the case that we can’t treat Obama like the Dems did to Bush, i.e. he’s not my President, etc. Of course he’s your President, if you’re an American, he’s the President.
He also said Scripture exhorts us to pray for our leaders, (and it does) so we should pray for the man.
I totally understood what Beck was saying. He was saying we can’t be like the 911 truthers spouting rumors,...if problems come up with Obama’s policies, or facts can be proven, we’ll oppose them, but at this point, he is the President elect of the US and should be treated as such.
I listened to him for a while, but oh my Lord, what a shrill, sensationalist weasel he is!! What a cowardly, gutless wonder as well. He should just be the Goebbels of the Obama regime, or at least try out for the post.
Dear Mr. Beck,
Stability is a wonderful thing. I suggest reading an accurate translation of the Bible, for help.
Regards,

That caller didn’t deserve to called anti-American just because he was worried about obama being president.
You can take your ‘class and dignity’ and shove it where the sun don’t shine.
should we hope that OB has a good economy because it is better for everyone, even if it means leading to a reelection and:
more abortions
repealing of many constitutional rights?
I support the Constitution. Not every politician that gets in office.
Oh he’s the President alright...he’s just the President of a people whose ideals and belief systems go against everything that America is supposed to stand for...I just happen to live here.
I won’t gnash my teeth or whine out loud, but his is not a country I’m up for caring about. I will continue to care about the ideals I believe made this Country great and will work to get those that believe the same into office, but otherwise? Whatever...
I have no intentions of accepting a man who won on voter fraud and the assistance of the media.
I’m sure the democrats can understand that after the 8 yrs of body blows they gave to Bush.
I can’t stomach the thought of that Marxist as our president.
As another FReeper said, a village in Illinois is missing its terrorist.
Call it ODS, whatever. On 1/20/09, I no longer have a president.
Glenn was pontificating about supporting the office of the presidency and hoping for the best for America no matter who is in office. He stated that he disagrees that any of Obama’s plans will be good for America. He thinks that America will be worse off if Obama institutes his plans. He also said, he hopes he is the one that is wrong in the context that he wants what's best for America no matter who is in office.
The caller said (paraphrasing) Obama was not his president because he did not vote for him or agree with him on anything. He would not call him his president. Glenn said that it was anti-American to not recognize the elected president of the United States because our guy didn't win.
We have to be fair here. I have stated some of the same sentiments to many folks. I am an American first then a conservative. Many on the left have a vitriolic attitude that hopes for America to do bad because “their” guy is not the president. Does anyone here really want the country to get worse because our guy didn't win?
I don't think so. I think we expect the worst and voice our opposition in hopes that we can limit the damage he can do over the next four years. But to hope that he drives our economy into the ground or that we come under attack just so we can say ‘I told you so’ is not very American, let alone patriotic.
I think this was the premise of Glenn's remarks.
“he is more deserving of our prayers than our derision.”
My prayers are for this country. Obama’s success as a president may or may not be good for this country. It depends on how you define success, I guess. If he tries to fulfill all his fairy godfather promises, he will surely ruin this nation’s economy for decades to come. If he succeeds in placing his choices for Supreme Court, he will ruin this nation for generations to come. If he succeeds in running foreign policy as he has indicates he wishes, he will embolden our enemies and cost lives of Americans here and abroad, in or out of uniform.
But I do acknowledge that he has been elected president and, in the absence of evidence of massive fraud, I will honor that decision of the electorate. I will tolerate an Obama presidency. Whether or not President Obama gets any respect from me is a matter of his earning it and his juvenile flipping off of opponents in public forums has given him a steep hill to climb to get any respect from me.
Our side lost. To say “he isn’t my President” is beyond childish. If you are a citizen of the US then Obama is going to be your president. No one says you have to like it but he won.
He’s not my President. Never will be.
No COLB. Massive voter fraud and illegal foreign contributions elected him.
He will always be President Fraud to me.
How he became a top 5 radio guy is beyond me. I found him on a NH radio station two months ago.
The world is ending is his meme for 3 hours.
He’s only “temporarily” president. 1-22-12.
So you’re saying you’re as bad as the leftists you complainted about?
Hmmm.
What Glenn’s point is - the Constitution sets up the process of determining the president. When the process is finished, the winner is the president.
We lost. Face it. Learn from it. Let’s have some real change now.
Let’s make sure that our ideas are taught in school, and elsewhere. And just as importantly, let’s make sure the RINOs don’t set up a similar primary calendar and rules next time out - no cross-over/open primaries and primaries in liberal states before true red states have a say - otherwise the conservatives will never have a chance.
Our problem in this campaign was more the flawed candidate at the top of our ticket rather than 0-bama. If we had put forth someone who spoke as strongly about conservative ideals like Reagan did during Goldwater’s campaign - we would have mopped the floor with Obama even if he raised a billion dollars.
The longer we bitch and moan about how he’s not OUR president, the more damage we do to our credibility - and the less time we focus on strengthening our position.
Argh if anyone has audio please send it to me if it wouldn’t too much trouble.
