Glenn Beck this morning has been telling all his listeners that everyone should be acknowledging that obama is president to, only to himself, but to everyone.
One caller came on and expressed his concern for the obama presidency and was having a hard time calling obama as his president.
Beck jumped all over him, calling him ant-American. I immediately turned off his show and never will listen to his crap again.
Beck is obviously worried about being kept on the air after the 'Fairness Doctrine' gets reenacted.
Just so ya' know.
Beck thinks he “intending to rule from the center?” By hiring Rahm as his FIRST CHOICE and the lead of his staff?
Center? Yeah, center of left field.
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior ... 1 Timothy 2:1-3
I don’t think admitting that Obama is President Elect equates to running away. What Glenn has been saying is that he doesn’t want us to become like the moonbats who oppose everything Bush does just because he’s Bush. You lose yourself and your credibility when you do that. That doesn’t even mean you should try to find something about your opponent you agree with, it just means that you stay honest and oppose him on principle, not just on the fact that he’s Obama. He’ll be a constitution-hating marxist, there will be no shortage of criticisms to level at him in the next 4 years. Let’s just be sure we do it honestly and with integrity that the libtards have never had.
I’d agree with your post. I am still sick to my stomach that this happened. But his failure in the White House is our failure as a country, and possibly of the Constitution as well.
I think that the strategy of getting our ducks in a row effectively and with great focus is the best way to regain Congress in 2010, and regaining the White House in 2012. Acting like the moonbats will continue the practice of being insane after an election. If they’re the only ones doing it, we will be much more effective. And we will win.
“I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my president, and I hope he does a good job.”
— John Wayne, on the election of JFK over Nixon in 1960
Sounds like what the DU weenies said about Bush.
All talk as usual? Glenn Beck has stuck his neck out on conservative principles more than any conservative personality that I have heard.
He has led the fight on border security. He predicted the economic meltdown a a couple of years ago and more accurately than anyone else speaking on the subject. He walked into the lions' den at CNN HN and put together a great show amidst some of the most outrageous libs in existence.
I have not yet heard this exchange, but Glenn Beck does not need to prove his bona fides to me.
According to the threadmeister, Beck said "everyone should be acknowledging that Obama is President to EVERYONE." Seems if Beck simply wore a "Obama is MY President" t-shirt it would save him the trouble of having to tell everyone he sees/meets.
Your post is correct, of course. The struggle begins on Jan 20. It would not hurt to begin to get our plans worked out prior to that date. Recommend we coordinate with local politicians.
Wonder what the duration was between the time the Russians first thought there was a serious chance the Wall would fall and the actual fall?
Our enemy is U.S. imperialism, the enemy of all humankind, Bill Ayers, Educational Secretary, SDS, 1969
Obama is the president elect to every US citizen, like it or not. But just because that fact is true does not mean one needs to wear a T-shirt that emphasizes it, especially in a way that would be mistaken for pride. It’s a fact that should go without saying, he shouldn’t have to remind “everyone he meets” that it is a fact. We should have the intellectual honesty and integrity to admit this fact, even though we’re ashamed of who was elected this week. These are traits the libtards lack, and sticking to our principles and maintaining our integrity will only give us more ammunition to use in the future. It will be much easier to make the case against Obama if we’ve been intellectually honest.
The last show of his I watched, he was helping Peggy ‘The Wisp’ Noonan plug her book.
I turned it off.
I don’t get his radio show during hours I can listen.
Exactly right. But you missed the point -- Beck CALLED on people to tell everyone this obvious fact (that Obama is Prez elect). It was a stupid thing to say, given that everyone already knows it. So I replied to his ridiculous statement with an equally ridiculous suggestion -- that he should wear a T-shirt advertising that fact. Lighten up.
[much easier to make the case against Obama]
What we do know about him should be enough to send a chill down your back, if not, then nothing will. Eventually, all the rest will be known about him and all your personally integrity and honesty won’t matter because it will never be heard.
Get over it. For years now, I’ve been reading on FR how some on the right slammed Clinton as a person for 8 years but still respected the office of president ... and that the left didn’t show that kind of respect with Bush.
The people voted and, like it or not, Obama is president-elect. Respect that, but at the same time ... work with your elected congress people to keep Obama in check.
Excellent point: NavVet. When is the last time you heard anyone on the left call President Bush anything other than Bush(said with venom)?
At least, now the left can’t use him as a scapegoat anymore. They will have only themselves to blame for their screw ups. and the rest of us can sit back, watch the fiasco and say..”told ya so”..
