Homer, your public ballot measures are ruining your state. I’ve seen how they led to energy crises about 10 years ago. Nobody wants an electric generation plant, whether coal, gas or nuclear, to be built anywhere in California. But they all expect to have cheap electricity. Your fellow Californians assume electricity is created at no cost some other place and magically transferred to their home electric outlets.
No wonder California is going to vote 0bama. He could promise free ham trees for every house and your average California voter is stupid and selfish enough to believe it.
No wonder your state is a mess.
You should check out our constitution some time if you want to see objective proof of your statement. It is a complete mess. Whenever the permanent majority party wants to advance their socialist agenda without getting their hands dirtier they put a measure on the ballot to restrict freedom or steal more money and call it the Save the Environment/Children/Schools/Women and Minorities act of 200X and it passes in a landslide.
