When you hear the words "Hooters," "John Daly" and "extremely intoxicated" in the same sentence, you know where this story is going.
In the latest chapter of Daly's longtime struggle with alcohol abuse, he was held overnight in a North Carolina jail after passing out at a Hooters restaurant...
According to police, Daly "appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative." Daly again refused to go to the hospital and was eventually asked to leave by Hooters employees...
Because Daly had no transportation, police said they held him in custody at a local jail until he sobered up.

Sleeping off a drunk in a North Carolina jail...
Who was the character on the Andy Griffith show that did that repeatedly?
“Because Daly had no transportation”
Was he ‘playing through’ and just not make it the whole way?
That would be Otis the Drunk.
Come on guys. Lighten’ up. Who hasn’t passed out at a local Hooters one time or another.
Otis Campbell, that law should have been named the “Otis” law.
Otis and he had his own key to his usual cell.
John Daley is at this point.
Talk about a guy who could have been one of the Greats, wasted talent and now this guy is truly spiraling out of control.

Well, I haven't exactly passed out ... however, I've fallen asleep between a couple from time to time.
I’d call passing out at Hooters a two-shot penalty.
I grew up with this guy. He has alot of problems and is living on borrowed time. That is all I am going to say.
Dad!
Exactly!!
LOL....looks like he even wore Hooters Orange for the occasion!
Amazing how much they look alike. But all kidding aside, this is a very sad situation. John has hit bottom before, and I was hoping he had managed to conquer his demons. It looks like he has not, and that is very bad news. We all need to say a prayer for him.
Very Sad. Without knowing too much he seems very lonely. Sad story
But - you're right - it's a shame to see how low he has sunk. I wish I had 1/4 of the golf game he has.
