Microsoft did this a good while back. It’s called Vista. Their Millennium Edition didn’t do the trick.

Having used both, I can say ME was a horrible and mercifully short-lived piece of garbage while Vista is actually their most technically sound and reliable implementation of Windows to date.

Do you get your opinions from Apple ads?

I’m using Vista 64 Enterprise and it is MS best desktop O/S to date.

It even runs with the horrendous Novell Client 32 for 64 bit.

You do need the correct hardware though. A dual core rocks with Vista.

ME was garbage, no one in the IT world that I know of bothered to implement it, went straight to Windows 2k from Windows 98 and NT 4.0.
