Having used both, I can say ME was a horrible and mercifully short-lived piece of garbage while Vista is actually their most technically sound and reliable implementation of Windows to date.

LOL! No, my post was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. I had ME and indeed it was a train wreck. As far as Vista, I merely parrot what I hear from other computer users and what is often posted here.
I understand the updated versions are improved - I sure hope so.
But MS has a fatal marketing flaw by trying to dictate terms to the marketplace. That strategy can work for a time, but sooner or later the customer finds a way around it.
It is inevitable.
