Red Dawn

Red Dawn is a 1984 war film by John Milius about a fictional invasion of the United States by the Soviet Union, Cuba and other Communist Central American armies, and the resulting guerrilla actions of a group of American high school students in the town of Calumet, Colorado.

Barack Hussein Obama is not constitutionally qualified to be elected or serve as President of the United States. Philip Berg's lawsuit has been thrown out for lack of standing.

Obama is not just ineligible to serve the office of Presidency, Obama is not just an illegal alien, Obama is an enemy combatant with founded financial connections to Nadhmi Auchi who co-conspired with fellow Baathist Saddam Hussein to overthrow Iraq.

We are now going to witness a nonfictional 2008 invasion of the United States by Middle Eastern, Communist Africa, Communist Central American armies, and others. With a resulting guerrilla actions of said groups.

By 2010, Elections will be based on one party - the American People’s Party (formally known as the Democrats). Hussien Obama will try to get MARSHALL LAW in 2009 - banning free speech (especially if the UNFAIRNESS DOCTRINE doesn’t pass!), and banning guns. Then in 2010, Hussien will say that because of Conservative Talk Radio, the 2010 elections will be postponed until radicals are imprisoned.

Running is surrendering. I can’t do that. I do NOT like to lose (to quote Captain Kirk)... Should such a scenario occur, those that run only help the enemy. Stand and fight is the only option if you love your freedom and your country.

I've been thinking of this for years. If a Dem doesn't like it here, they can just throw a dart at a map and get the "change" they want. Britain, Canada, Sweden, you name it, they can go there tomorrow. We have nowhere. There is but one United States. I'm afraid there is no choice but to fight and the violence is about to start. It may very well be worse than the civil war.

If anarchy breaks out, we will have the biggest blood bath ever seen on the planet, IMHO.

I was in high school when this movie came out, and it scared the bejesus out of me and my buds. We dutifully raided the local Army-Navy store and bought ourselves plenty of camouflage clothing, long-term camping gear, K-Bar knives, and other sundry pieces of potentially useful gear just in case the Cubans ever made the mistake of paradropping into our little Appalachian community.

Looking back on it now, it was pretty silly considering that the Soviet bloc never had the capability to do deep paratrooper drops inside CONUS, but we did not know that at the time and it made a lasting impression on us.

As an aside, my best buddy's dad, who was a grizzled U.S. Army combat veteran who had gone toe-to-toe, hand-to-hand with North Korean soldiers in the DMZ in 1969 and 1970 (that's another story), usually asked us where all the men were whenever he saw us watching this movie. They all couldn't have been locked up by the Russians and Cubans, leaving high school kids to fight. We thought that this was a good question.

You know what is funny about that movie is back in the 80s and the decades before, the premise of an invasion by the USSR was real.

Kids born in the 70s and later who are in their 20-30s now don’t understand the real fear of the cold war. ‘Red Dawn’ is science fiction (if they’ve even watched it).
