Forgive the cynicism, but this move tells me he is losing ground with women in his internal polling data. Nothing this close to the election happens for benign reasons. He could just state “family reasons” and go right away, but it is planned 4 days out and he is doing TV interviews on the subject furnishing us with a sob story.
