Is their any Freeper who has any idea of the state of play in the Battleground States. Those of us who are OS may appreciate a rundown of how the polls are going in these crucial areas.

Cheers and Blessings

Well, the only way one can know is to look at the polls the media conducts...and as usual, according to them, McCain is losing just about everywhere. Take that to mean what you will.

I would think that if the polls are close then McCain might come through!

I always wonder on the effect on potential voters if they believe their preferred party is going to romp home. Do some stay home or do they jump on the bandwagon and go out and vote because they want to say “hey, I voted for .....”.

Similalry does being behind in the polls cause apathy or a determination to make your vote count.

Cheers

Doesn’t look good - has McCain gone off message - it’s hard to tell from Australia as we only see what our TV stations want us to see. He really needs to get stuck into the Dems over the credit crisis. It seesm that everyone want sot blame Bush and then paint McCain as more of the same.

It’s a good question - could go either way. Personally, I think it depends on your proclivity to vote in the first place. I’ve never missed an election, so whether my guy is up or down, he still gets my vote. I personally find being behind in the polls motivating, in terms of wanting to make my vote count, though I can well understand the “what difference does it make?” sentiment that must affect many.
