This morning when I left for work I discovered that the HUGE McCain/Palin (3'x5') sign that I had on the corner of my property had been knocked down by vandals.
I was heart-broken, even though McCain Wasn't my family's first choice we've spent all sorts of hours doing phone calls and canvassing neighborhoods.
I wanted to take pictures of the damage, but a neighbor through the goodness of his heart had put the sign back up proudly where it belonged while I was at work.
And its not just limited to that, I am very fastidious about my 1.5 Acre lawn and ever since that sign went up all the yuppies that walk their dogs let them poop with abandon on it
I cannot believe that I am the only person this has happened to.
There must be other tales.
Dog walking and Poo.
Go get yourself a huge bottle of red pepper flakes. If you go to Sam’s club, a couple of bottles should cost you about 10.00. Sprinkle them around your lawn. When the doggies sniff, up the nose it goes. They won’t stop to poo.
Worked on my lawn!
I'm on my fourth McCain/Palin yard sign.
The first was a beautiful custom made color yard sign with Palin weaing a nice red dress, and McCain looking proud.
The tore it to shreds and threw it in the street (while I was at church, no less. Not making that up)
I put up a regular campaign issued sign, and that too was demolished a day later.
Ditto... ditto again.
Please explain how a sign in an upright position can get pooped on.
Poop falls down from a dog's butt. A height of perhaps 20 inches max.
This poop fell onto your sign?
How high is this sign?
We had the gas company guy come to the door to get in to read the meter. He looked at our Rep. flag proudly displayed ( 4x6 ft.) in the picture window, looked at my husband and said “ Oh...republicans”. Hubby said “ And”? Jerk didn’t answer. We live in NY in a very very liberal county so if I get a brick through the window .......I have insurance. ;) Finally got ahold of a McCain/Pailn sign which is coming in the house as soon as dark hits each night.
Very tall dogs.
*Palin
As the volunteer in charge of road and yard signs for many Republican candidates, I have pondered long and hard to find a way to prevent yard demolition.
In 2006, it was rampant.... and of course no Democrat signs were touched.
If anyone can come with something.... an electrified sign???
indelible ink signs....
small video cameras nearby???
Something.
Democrat supporters are no different than the self-centered thugs that run the Democrat political machines ...
get motion sensor lights, and a video camera
Its great to see the expression on their face when the lights go on
Or...maybe the question is...can I have some of what you are having?
: )
What are you talking about? Brainhose’s post made it very clear that the lawn was pooped on.
In our local election last year the dem candidate was having his fund raiser across the street. I put up signs for the republican two days prior to the event. That Sunday morning they were stolen. They do everything on the weekends around here so there is no one to call.
Just a note: Halloween is on Friday this year, there is likely to be vandalism and destruction all weekend. Just sayin.
Sit on the porch with a shotgun on Friday and Saturday night with the porch lights out. Problem Solved.
Put up a hidden camera, or better yet, hide behind a bush with a baseball bat, and when the vandals appears, open a can of whoop ass.
Listen to Roger Hedgecock on the web.
Instances of Obamabots walking on peoples property when not asked to, and in peoples faces were discussed.
Michael Barone call it the new Thugocracy, stay sharp folks....

hahahahahahahaha!! I was about to suggest the same thing! When my cat would dig into my Palm tree pot I put chili powder in there. He stopped digging it after one whiff of the stuff!
I had someone buy yet another yard sign today, at Farmers’ Market. She said all the rest had been destroyed by vandals!!
