McCain just killed all the momentum and enthusiasm of the last week with this simple sentence in response to an angry attendee at a rally tonight:
“I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."
“No, ma’am. He is a decent family man, citizen"
LOL... well, I guess we'll just have to move to a Red State, rather than Belize (which now doesn't sound as nice as I've heard).
Sorry I'm in such a bad mood... gay marriage was made LEGAL in Connecticut today by four activist CT Supreme Court justices, and watching McCain dis his own campaign, telling his supporters at that rally to "be respectful" of B. Hussein Obama, and how "he's a nice person" really put me over the top. I'm really starting to believe that McCain has no interest in actually winning this race...
John McCain is a real man who does the right thing when it counts. What’s the point of winning if you do it like a hateful idiot with a bunch of asinine conspiracy theories. By the look of some of the comments about him on this board mabey our country isn’t producing those kind men anymore. I hope I’m wrong.

People can be enthusiastic and competitive without getting ugly. The information is coming out, even if it is death by a thousand cuts rather than some dramatic public beheading. All McCain has to do is let surrogates sow seeds of doubts about Obama while keeping himself as the reasonable alternative. I certainly am not giving up on them.
I haven’t read the entire thread but it would not surprise me if this isn’t how the Obama campaign and/or the media aren’t trying to neutralize Palin’s job as the campaign pit bull.

That said, I’m writing in Hunter. The help I’m giving to McCain is vacarious via exposing Obama, and any thing nice you may catch me saying about Juan is only because I do like Palin.
I think we all have a right to be angry. This election is being stolen from under out nose, but there is only one game in town if we stand a chance for a decent country going forward and that chance is John McCain, we have to fight even if he doesn’t.

Need I remind you what McCain said about the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth when they went after his buddy Kerry. McCain called them [Navy Vietnam vets like myself] “dishonest and dishonorable.” How the fu*k can he call them that and call this radical, America hating SOB who hangs out with terrorists a “decent family man.” Something is turned upside down here. McCain deserves to lose and maybe that is what he wants to do to the GOP as payback for 2000.
