The almost uninterrupted Yankees dynasty of GREAT teams, 1921-1964, is truly awe-inspiring: 29 pennants, 20 world championships, in a span of 44 years! Never more than four years between championships!
BTW, NEXT year, 2009, will actually mark the Cubs' 100th try for a world championship since their last one (1908). There was no World Series in 1994, remember. So NEXT YEAR my Cubbies will finally prevail!

I will note with much bitterness that the whole purpose of your Realtime +70 posts are to show how some things remain unchanged over the years.
As a Braves fan, I’m beginning to understand you Cubs fans. Good luck in 2009!
