Bush didn’t do well in his debates and he got elected. The fact is that these “debates” just aren’t that important. The only ones who live and die based on them are the voters who are already decided and invested emotionally in their candidate’s victory. THis is nowhere near over. There are too many unique factors in this election to suggest that a pattern based on the past can be predictive of Nov. 4th.
Exactly. And I want to thank South Carolina again for tipping the entire primary in favor of McCain - Muchos Gracias South Carolina!
Hell, I'd take Romney, Rudy or my first choice Fred over this imbecile.
“LOL- oh he has lots to say unfortunately they are all regurgitated from prior speeches.”
I concede!
Well, in all fairness, McCain just proposed doing what Fannie Mae does: Buy mortgages from banks and other lenders and then sell them to investors. If anything, he proposed maintaining the status quo, which is bad enough.
"I would order the secretary of the Treasury to immediately buy up the bad home loan mortgages in America and renegotiate at the new value of those homes at the diminished value of those homes and let people be able to make those payments and stay in their homes," he said.
"Is it expensive? Yes. But we all know, my friends, until we stabilize home values in America, we're never going to start turning around and creating jobs and fixing our economy, and we've got to get some trust and confidence back to America."

Arbitrary Section 8 housing nationwide without zoning or permits, and goodbye to contract law.
Compared to that, what McCain said is actually tame.
Cheers!
Take your defeatist garbage and publish it on Democratic underground please.
He said no such thing. What McCain said was thet the homes needed to be revalued to reflect their true after bubble value, to drive the prices of homes down in the market, and the mortgasge plan he talked about was a revaluation based refinancing of the home, and a subsequent new affordable mortgage. When the prices of homes go down, then the economy will recover more quickly.
I think its a good plan, and it won't take government money to do that.
Your literally full of shite on this one. Are you a Ron Paul sour freeper or maybe you can't hear well?
Eagle Up. Stop whining.
What he’s talking about much worse is in the bailout passed and signed http://www.theusmat.com/
Fine, why don’t you leave then, because we need to elect McCain, warts and all.
You’ve had your temper tantrum, are you getting the attention you crave?
Thank you for bringing this up.
I am so incredibly upset by this I can’t see straight.
McCain has lost my vote. I reject that man outright, whereas I was weakly supporting him before.
Oh ‘my friend’ (my mccainism), the only ones that are going to get destroyed by the crash of housing prices is the decent law abiding citizen NOT THE BIG WALL STREET FAT CATS who are perched like vultures ready to strike and steal these homes.
So, since McCain lost your vote and you reject him outright, you don’t belong here. Back to DU with you!
McCain is the Socialist troll in the room filled with conservatives.
Dump McCain; let Palin run against Obama and crush him.
Who’s going to impeach Obama? A Pelosi-run House? A filibuster-proof Senate?
I like wishful thinking as much as the next guy, but expecting Hussein to be impeached by a strongly Rat congress may be the dumbest thing I’ve heard in ages.
To hell with DU!
Voting between these two is like deciding to eat dog poop or cat poop. Either way, it’s still poop.
Never say never....
“A floor is desperately needed in the housing market.”
And only the government will pay the floor price.
This will NOT get the economy going.
But it will destroy the dollar.
Welcome to socialist Amerika.
