With one month to go before we chose a President, a lot of tricks can be pulled. However, this year, we may be facing a possible pre-election attack on Iran, or even a terrorist attack.

Nixon didn't know about the break-in beforehand. Certainly he should not have attempted to cover up for Haldeman and Ehrlichman who may have known. Nixon was earler let down terribly by Eisenhower (who was not exactly known for backing subordinates, remember Patton?). Nixon saved himself via the "Checkers" speech, and probably never forgave Eisenhower for not defending him regarding a trivial charge. Nixon was trying to be loyal to his own loyal aides and stick with them when they were under fire, and this destroyed him. The press hated him because he supported Whittaker Chambers against the left's (and the press') darling, Alger Hiss.
Obama finally reveals his birth certificate and it does indeed turn out to be real.
Reverend Wright, who believed the story that Obama told him, that he was adopted by a white woman, discovers that Obama really is half white. God Damn Whitey, God Damn Obama. So Wright releases a video of one of his fiery hate America, racist sermons with Obama sitting in the audience with an approving look.
Obama will cancel the remaining debates and then go into hiding.

I think it would come from some right winger, so the antichrist can crack down on the only folks who could do something about him. It might even be an entirely staged event.

October surprise: John McCain comes out swinging for the fence in his Tues. debate. The fluidity of his words, the constant eye contact with Obama and the audience, is only matched by his heartfelt connection to those that hear the
promise of shining city on a hill in a McCain/Palin administration. It helps that he has a slight Alaskan accent. Obama is shown as a second rate teleprompter reader.
I think that we’ve seen the beginning of it, where the economy crashes, and the media becomes successful at blaming EVERYTHING on the republicans, even though it was caused by dem and leftist polices.

Look at Marion "the bitch set me up" Barry, who was elected to the DC City Council AFTER his time in jail for smoking crack with a hooker - and it wasn't "pictures." They had him doing it on video!

It's quite possible. That's exactly what happened when the late Mel Carnahan beat John Ashcroft while running for senator in MO a few years back. Ashcroft suspended campaigning out of respect but the dems didn't, and the dem governor of the state leaked that if Carnahan won the election, he'd appoint the widow Carnahan as senator. And that's exactly what happened.
Of course that DID allow President Bush to appoint John Ashcroft as AG.
