Yesterday, I was on FreeRepublic and read an article. There was a prompt that said I could download something that would help the GOP if I did. It is somehow affiliated with Yahoo.
Well, long story short, it is garbage. It takes me a few minutes to get on the internet. When I hit my homepage (msn), my screen goes white and at least 2 or 3 minutes later, I get the internet. I tried to call FreeRepublic to report and could not find a phone number in Fresno. Somebody tell me how to get this crap off.
You need more detail than this. What was the thread?

Try clearing your cache and your cookies for a start. Try logging on in a different browser also.

The same thing happens to me when I run Yahoo! Instant Messenger, so I make sure it doesn’t run when Windows starts. It should be possible to go to “View” in the pull-down menus and remove the checkmark from the toolbar in question. If that doesn’t work, there’s also System Restore.
FR is now charging $10 per vanity posted. That blank screen was your bank balance. :P / jk
