Wanted to say hi and sorry I have not been with you all for the last few days but as wonderful as computers are, when they start with problems they absolutely drive us crazy...! Mine is a little better but not well yet. I did get on long enough to view some of the threads and they all are wonderful as usual.
My computer is on the back burner today though. My next door neighbor and good friend, Brenda, passed away yesterday morning. She had been in the hospital in July to have a hernia repaired and they spotted a mass on her right side. It was cancer and she had had no symptoms yet. It was in her liver and pancreas. I researched it right away and then stopped when I found out it was almost always fatal.
She has only lived 3 months with this terrible thing. They tried several chemo’s and she has suffered so much. I know she is at peace in Heaven today and I say Praise the Lord.
I visited with her husband and son a few minutes yesterday morning and of course, we all had our cries.
I will be fixing food for them today and will go to visitation tonight. Sometimes we need to get our priorities straight...when things like this happen in our lives, we sorta do put the computer on the back burner. Thanks for listening friends. Kitty Mittens and the Prayer Warriors have been praying for Brenda since it first happened. God Bless Them and that precious Kitty Mittens. Brenda was only 61 years old and had one son and two little grandsons. Whisper a little prayer for this precious family. And thanks for listening.....guess I needed someone to talk to this morning. And the best FRiends are FReeper FRiends!
Times like this are very hard Jaycee. You and her family are in my Prayers. So very sorry, 61 is the same age my Mom was when she went home to be with the Lord 12 years ago.
Understanding geography is helpful in daily life, but God-ography (finding God) is infinitely more crucialfor now and for eternity.
In Hebrews 11:6 we are told that to find God and please Him, we first have to believe that He exists. How can we prove that God exists? Finding God is a matter of faithconfidence in Him and commitment to Him. This confidence and commitment should remain strong even though the objects of our faith are unseen. The writer of Hebrews and the apostle John agree that ultimately the way to find the Lord and please Him is by believing in His Son Jesus (Heb. 11:6; John 14:6).
Finding God is solely a work of God. Those who seek Him will find Him because God will give them a heart to recognize Him as Lord (Jer. 29:13-14).
Oh I am so sorry about Brenda! I got Kitty’s FR Mail yesterday but did not realize it was your friend/neighbor. I may have missed that info in one of her postings.
Yes life does have a way of smacking us in the face with reality & priority evaluation
My thoughts & prayers for you & for Brenda’s family
