Hummingbird cake: this always worries me even though I know there are NO hummingbirds in it.
Right?

Hmmm ... Wonder if prices are down here also.
I’ll check the prices at the local market tonight.

“Anyone like lobstah?”
I sure do. I have only had it in restaurants. I have never fixed it at home. Why don’t one of you smart gals tell me how to do it at home? Would love to know! I may check the price tomorrow! My mouth is watering at just the thought of dipping a large bite of lobster into the butter and into my mouth........I think I’m dying!

I’ve never cooked lobster.
When I was pregnant (many, many years ago), I tried lobster and was violently ill. I haven’t tried it since but hubby and Marissa love it.
I love abalone but haven’t had that for awhile ... prices have been outrageous. When we go to Avila Beach in November, I will check to see if the prices have come down any. Now, my mouth is watering. :^ )

When my son was 13, daughter 7, I cooked two whole lobsters. (Yes, the boiling pot of water, seasoning, etc.)
It was scrumptous, with drawn butter and lemon! But, after dinner, my son asked for the leftover shells (claws, tail, etc.)
Thinking he would take them to school and use them for a science project, I gave them to him.
In the middle of the night, we heard a blood-curdling scream coming from my daughter’s room. We rushed in, to find her in the corner of her room, in shock, pointing to her pillow.
Under her pillow, were the claws, tail, legs, and yes, head, of two empty lobster shells.
He was a baaaaaad boy.
