Love the cartoon, yorkie, and jaycee, that is one of my favorite hymns. This is only a midi, but it's a pretty rendition.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow"

I do not intend to be morbid on this beautiful day but I have thought I would like that song at my funeral.....which I hope is 100 years (LOL) away. Getting ready to listen and then I must run again! I do love that song.

Thanks, yorkie, I will listen to that when I get back. I think I have heard it, but its worth listening to it as many times as you get a chance! Very patriotic as best I can remember!

I was so excited to see this poem because I'd had the music saved for a while and also the five "riding into the sunset" cowboys, but needed a poem to go with it. I love John Wayne, so it all came together with that poem!

Also pretty crazy about this cowboy, and wish the media wasn't so hard on him.

"Some people say that I swagger...

I just walked across the room to go upstairs and stopped to see if I had anything.

That bouquet greeting is just so gorgeous. Thank you, sweet Amy....brother just called....SIL just called...I will rush on upstairs and try to get presentable...LOL! Hard job ahead!

It is a beautiful song, Jaycee and Billie. Many years ago, I would listen to Tennessee Ernie Ford sing gospels and that was my favorite. Here is another voice that I love:

I don't think it's morbid at all, but I certainly hope it's many, many years before it's sung at your funeral. :)

We went to a Memorial Service this weekend for a friend, and they had chosen my favorite of ALL hymns for her service. I get lost in this one. It is SO beautiful.

I was delighted when Billie sent me everything for today’s post.

John Wayne was special. When I was a kid, my brothers and sisters and I would play cowboys with sticks for horses and fingers for guns. Beautiful memories.
