Given McCain's bleak chances, would you take Hillary now?

Posted on 09/28/2008 8:33:11 PM PDT by FiscalConservative1985

I never thought I'd be saying this, but I wish Hillary Clinton could be President, given the alternatives. I'd take Hillary Clinton right now over a 25% chance of McCain winning. At least Hillary is experienced and cares about all Americans. Her tax policies would not have been near as bad as Obama's either. I think she would have governed in the centrist manner that Bill did. I hated the Clintons in the past, but if he had been serious on terrorism and had a better moral compass, I could call him a great President.

So my fellow conservatives, given the choice between a slim chance of a McCain victory or an assured Clinton Presidency, which would you choose?

You give up so easy you sound like a weenie liberal.

You already admit the polls are skewed in favor of the Rats.
And you let that scare you? what a waste!

It’s nowhere near “bleak” as you say.

I thought so too. She would be more middle than Bambi. She might have been more middle than McCain.

i’m not a troll. Just being realistic

You're a "concern troll," which has become a laughable cliche around here, since it's so common. And tiring.

The psyops employed by these trolls are sometimes obvious, but often subtle.

They are trying, like their propagandizing LeftMedia to use discouragement and defeatism to derail the magnificent momentum of the Sarah Palin nomination which has energized the conservative base.

As I said, it won’t work. We may not win, but we WILL show up to vote despite the polling lies and the comments of media “conservatives”.

Obama is going to get walloped.

I am not an optimist when it comes to politics in this country, so maybe I am too affected by the downward trend in the polls. But the pretty well established fact by now that the RNC bounce was just a bounce, not a new permanent shift in the race, is very bad news for McCain. With the word “crisis” buzzing in the media, the unfortunate knee jerk reaction is for people to blame the party of the President.

Geez people, I was just asking a hypothetical.

Did you receive an answer to your hypothetical question?

If you really think Barry is that bad, then feel free to spend the next 37 days persuading independents and moderates that they should vote for McCain. If you're really concerned about voter fraud, then do what you can to combat it.

Reminds me of when all the trolls came out right around this time in the last presidential election and were saying Kerry was going to pull big numbers. So predictable.

Okay, look, McCain makes me nauseous, with his inopportune harping about amnesty and climate change, but I'm not so desperate that I would go running into the arms of either Hitlery or Obambi.

I would suggest you put down the bong and step away from the keyboard before you are turned into meow mix.
