When are we going to be allowed to blame Rush for Obama?
Sept. 28, 2008 | Hildy

Posted on 09/28/2008 8:13:14 PM PDT by Hildy

Up until today I was sure that McCain would win..and I've always thought he'd win by alot. I didn't take into account just how unfair the press was going to be. It's a never ending drumbeat, like the article that was posted last week. It's unrelenting..and it's always negative towards McCain and positive towards the "ONE." But it looks like it's working and we might have a President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. I'm glad my Father is not alive to see this.

We need big prayers, people..I don't know what it's going to take. I can't believe people think the Dems will be better for the economy.

We allowed the press do beat up Bush so badly that he's just a shell of a President. Some of it was deserved, but the level of it was not. And we just let it happen.

For the first time in years, I am depressed about the future.

For the sake of the country, I believe Hillary would have been a better President. Like Rush, I thought Obama was unelectable. I'm just numb right now to think that my beloved country is SO DAMN STUPID.

Right Obama used a lot of his campaign’s money. Hillary burnt up a lot of money, much of it her own.

...but tonight I needed the boost

Me too. You are right. The media is relentless. It can get the best of us down and that's exactly what they want. They are worse than 2004 and 2000--I didn't think that was possible. A couple of FReepers' posts/analysis made me feel good yesterday. HamiltonJay was one and I'll have to find the name of the other guy. I need pick me ups. Were we having this panic in 2004? I can't remember. This has been one damn long election though!

Hildy, this is the most important presidential race in my lifetime; and I’ve seen a lot too; Nixon-Kennedy, Goldwater-Johnson, Reagan-Carter, and I can tell you that the “One” isn’t going to win this race.

Hildy, I disagree. Rush actually helped us by promoting Hillary over Obama. There are many former Hillary supporters now on board, not only to vote for McCain and Palin, but actively campaigning for them. I am amazed at the hatred they have developed, not only for Obama(who they think stole the nomination from Hillary) but also with the Democrat party in general. Although I have never been enamored with McCain, I believe he is going to win in a landslide.

You’re right..you’re all right about Rush...I’m upset. But if his name wasn’t in the title of my thread, you probably all wouldn’t have come to my vanity, right?? LOL! See, I already feel better!!!!

Everyone! Take a deep breath and calm down! There are still 30-plus days to go, and a lot of things can happen.

I wouldn’t be so quick to believe the polls, either.

Honestly, I am getting soooo tired of this, we’ve all been on high alert, and close to mass hysteria so many times since the end of last year. I happen to think McCain and Palin will be our next president and VP. If the unthinkable happens, I guess I’ll have to take my comfort in the fact that the election is FINALLY OVER, and that I can enjoy a couple of weeks of respite until the election 2012 hysteria starts.

I almost forgot, Hildy...the grassroots group McCain Manhattan has over 1,000 volunteers...they are out there campaigning every weekend at street fairs, after work at the subway, making calls etc. The local Repub Clubs are also doing their part. There was no such effort in ‘04 for W...we had to head to New Jersey to campaign.

How about we forget about this vanity and we’ll give you another for free since your premise is that Operation Chaos was about Republicans voting for Obama in the primaries?

Take your time, make it a good one.

Hildy gets ONE more free vanity, all in favor, OK, it’s decided.

Hildy, this wasn’t your best work, due to your seniority we have granted you one free vanity to use how you wish. ; )

Yes, you are correct of course about Rush, I've apologized to the thread. And yes, my anecdotal experience shows me that many of my Dem friends will not vote for Barry..SO WHY IS HE SO FAR AHEAD IN THE POLLS? WHY? I'm also concerned about the young voters this year. They are hopped up...

But thanks, Miss Didi..we go back a long way. I posted this vanity so saner heads than mine would calm me down..and you guys have not failed me!

It's truly mind boggling that you missed the point of Operation Chaos. Absolutely astounding.

If anything, Rush Limbaugh is a hero. His “Operation Chaos” probably kept Hillary Clinton in the primary race weeks longer than she might have been.

And on Obama, Rush has been relentless. And right on! His criticisms and exposes of the “Chosen One’s” past, associaties and underhanded dealings have been thorough — stuff you would never know listening to the MSM

Rush was hard on McCain during the primary process — and justifiably so. Any true Conservative had to be. He likes to “walk across the aisle” and play games with the Democrats. Honestly, though I respect McCain for his service to Country, I could not have voted for him — until he chose Sarah Palin as his VP running mate. Sarah lends some real, down to earth “movement Conservative” values and principles to a potential McCain administration.

There are still 5 weeks until Election Day. It may not look good today — but tomorrow things could change quickly. Another “Barackopolis” coronation, or a “Berlin bashing” of his own country, or a “bitter clingers to God and guns” remark, and Barry could stumble. And NEVER sell short the racism of DEMOCRATS - who love minority votes so long as they mind their place in the party. Trust me on that one!

And if Barry wins? Well, then the mess we already have, and the one he and a Democrat Congress will add to it, can be hung around their necks in short order.

The only fear I have is, once they control all the branches of Government, the Fairness Doctrine, regulation of “hate speech” on the internet, and gun grabbing may be their top agenda items. If that’s the case (and don’t fool yourself, Barry is a radical and Marxist) then it may not wait for another election...We may need a revolution.
