But thanks, Miss Didi..we go back a long way. I posted this vanity so saner heads than mine would calm me down..and you guys have not failed me!
I recall that a couple of the polls that came out last week were skewed to the left with a lower sampling of Republicans. Also, folks may not be so quick to state they are opposed to obama for the irrational fear of looking like a racist. Whatever the reason, all that matters is who shows up to vote on election day.
I remember hearing car horns blare in celebration throughout Philly when the early polls showed that kerry had won. It was a real delight to hear the horns fade when the actual results were reported.
I understand your concerns. I'm ready to vote now!!!
BTW, sorry to pile on late after you’ve been corrected on the Rush stuff...and I’m with you...hope Obama doesn’t win this thing.
Group hug! ;)
I was at the checkout at Walmart yesterday. The checkout clerk was a young guy in his late teens early twentys and he started talking about the election. He said he just couldn't wait for the election cause he just knew McCain was going to win and when he did he was joining the Navy! He said he would never take orders from BHO. He said he would never call him CIC. He said he and his girlfriend had watched the debate and had a big laugh about the way Obama was trying to impress the muslims with his pronunciations of Pakistan and taliban. He said that all his friends and his girlfriend were voting for McCain. What struck me was his enthusiasm and optimism. I thanked him and told him he gave me hope for this country after all. He said yes, maam and thank you. I left the store feeling very optimistic.
