Indianapolis - Indianapolis police say it appears to be a matter of self defense.
According to police, a naked man broke into a home in the 3500 block of West 79th Street early Sunday morning and entered the bedroom of a 17-year-old girl. He was carrying condoms and a knife.
She was screaming as her father ran into the bedroom and fought off the attacker. When police arrived, the father had his arm around the intruder's throat and was holding him. As police attempted to handcuff the suspect, they noticed he was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police identified the intruder as 52-year-old David Meyers, a convicted sex offender who was released from prison a couple of years ago. http://www.insor.org/insasoweb/offenderDetails.do?sid=335909.011&redPage=1
Police say Meyers was familiar with the home. His uncle owns the property and was renting it to the victims.
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation but IMPD spokesman Sgt Mathew Mount says it appears to be a case of self defense.

A “convicted sex offender”? Why wasn’t he in prison? Seriously, he would be alive today if he had been sentenced to life in prison.

I’m guessing the condom and no clothes was an attempt to leave no dna or fiber evidence behind. Obviously a planned attack. I guess he didn’t plan on a pissed off daddy.
Meyers won’t go to jail. He will get boxed up and planted.
