How do you think the candidates will do? Obama has been away at Debate Camp all week practicing with a high powered attorney, so I don't think that he will bomb.
OMG now Bambi is denying asking for earmarks. Cripes. C’mon McCain, it’s been a long coupla days but you agreed to SHOW UP tonight.
Does look like BHO will own the debates. Wish MCCain could pull off a holding strategy at least.
OTOH, perhaps the VP debate will draw more eyeballs than this one...
Chill out people, this is only the first debate. This happened four years ago with the first debate as well.
come on john, hes lobbing softballs!
McCAin is repeating bromids from his stump speech. Say hello President Obama, if McCain doesn’t pick it up.
Obama already started the umss.... you got to wait for him to be a little tired... then the ummmmm will get him.
In the first 5 minutes, I can see that McCain was already winning this, and he certainly moved me and impressed me. Obama seems the lesser next to McCain - and when McCain started hitting on spending $$$, he is already out and on first base with this debate.
McCain winnning easily so far. I think his message is effective, connecting with the people.
No, he didn’t follow through with ACORN or anyone. Names, John, names!!!
I’s early but McCain is getting his clock cleaned! Obama looks like he’s in charge.
looks like a bad bag of burned microwave popcorn.
I know! Come on, McCain. The facts are on our side. He was harder on Mitt Romney!
Yes but there only three debates this time and only 39 days left.
Answer - "WELL YES, BUT......" then his remarks regressed to his soundbites.
McCain just said “Bambi’s first 3 years in the Senate...” LORD help us.
Maybe McCain will get with it here. Obo is hopefully going to get into a umm-ahhh fit here soon
Why hasn’t McCain pointed out the Dems were mostly responsible for the mess and that he and Bush asked for more regulation and the Dems voted it down!
I noticed that. I’m listening on the radio. I don’t really want to look at them. (Plus, the liberal wife is watching it in the living room and I don’t want to sit next to her.)
I think McCain is just getting warmed up—he seems to be like an engine that needs to idle—Obama just keeps stuttering & is very choppy. I don’t think McCain is losing.
BHO just looks slow up there, you can see the wheels turning when he tries to come up with things to say. Nothing to say about his record, just his campaign speech all over again.
