Thank you for that wonderful report. 60k? Wow...
Go Sarah!!!
Your weather is a bit rough on Alaskans....but I’m sure they were glad to see the crowd!
I have my Sarah Palin screensaver staring at me as I type.
Just looking at her makes me happy.
But I live in Big Bad California. Work in Evil Hollywood.
I know California is probably going down to Obama.
BUT. I think Palin should waltz through this state anyway.
Yeah. Start in gay ol’ Palm Springs. Then La Jolla (lots of GOPers there...)
Then ORANGE COUNTY.
Then, gasp, Hollywood. With plenty of Secret Service mind you. David Horowitz and Lyonel Chetwind would love her.
Then the Valley. Porn Capital of the World but also a lot of churches. Encino, Agoura Hills...
then back to Malibu. Yeah. Malibu.
Then Santa Barbara. Lots of GOPers there still.
Then oh, I don’t know... Central Valley farmers.
Then, Carmel/Monterey. She’d love it. She should meet up with Doris Day at her hotel. Doris is still a GOPer.
Then geez, I guess, San Fran. Why not? And Silicon Valley. Go over to Apple and shake hands with American ingenuity and winners in a deathbound stock market.
Then Redding at least. Lots of crazy Christians, but GOPers in that ol’ hippie town.
Sacramento would be really walking into a beehive but Sarah would get so much National Press coverage on this “wasted” California trip — she would be amazed.
Ooops forgot Santa Cruz.
Get those old hippies and libs and Hollywooders by showing you ain’t afraid of them Sarah. You’ve got a lot of Cali fans. Even Hollywood is afraid of you... you’ve got more STAR POWER then any one of them.
I’d just go in like her hero and mine, Abe Lincoln once said: “The best way for a young man to succeed in this world is to take act as if no one is against him...”
I think Old Abe would appreciate the modification to “young female VP hopeful”...
And SHE didn’t have to provide a free concert...
I saw the pictures and counted only 14 people at that rally. (/Democrat)
People I met on buses mentioned 24 hour prayer chains are praying for this election in our nation. Meeting the individuals in these lines was truly awe-inspiring.
Hooray!
By the way where are the Villages? I was stationed in FL up until 1981, I don't remember hearing of anyplace referred to as that.
I am still thinking about that 60,000 number. I can remember pre-Palin, Ed Schultz on AirAmerica saying right after Obamas speech at the DNC that the Republicans could never draw a crowd larger than 8000. Guess this showed him.
We need pictures from FReepers that were there!
