Of course! Forbidden Planet is right. I have no idea how I came up with fantastic planet, maybe it is the age thing.
Anne Francis or was it Frances was a real beauty. A perfect example of the professor's beautiful daughter who had never been around men, which was a common theme.

Yes! Anne Francis is awesome in that miniskirt! That movie is one of the best sci-fi films ever made, in my opinion. Robby the Robot is great, too!

Just last night I watched an interview with Patricia Neal on AMC. I had seen the interview once before but it was so fascinating I had to watch it again.
Neal said that when she was cast in The Day the Earth Stood Still, she thought it was just the funniest thing. She said she had a hard time keeping a straight face thinking the whole thing was silly. She also said that it wasnt until watching it many years later that she came to appreciate that it was a pretty good movie.

RE: Global Warming
From the extended trailer and one Reeve’s last quotes where the girl asks “What happens to us?”, his reply “If the earth dies, you die, if you die the earth dies” then watching cities get blown away, I’d say it’s an Algore wet dream of a movie.
